Liverpool Vs The Chosen One (includes Pardew Goodness) Post Match Thread

Sunderland had 7 players in midfield for much of the time, and obviously focussed on him as the player who is at the base of all our play. As for those chipped forward passes that people have complained about, Can also failed with several of those and no one has mentioned him. In fact, I wonder if this was something we were working on, because those balls struck me as looking a bit strange. Nevertheless, despite how terrific Gini and Can were supposedly, neither had as many passes leading to chances as Hendo, who was supposedly shit.

If Hendo had played lots more forward passes (of which many would have been picked off given their tactical congestion of the midfield) some of the same people would be criticising for his attempting too many 'Hollywood' balls.
Several media outlets ? Really ? Actually the numbers do back up the argument. Just look at his pass chart !

Poor old angry, wrong Froggy.

Just because I have a different opinion to you doesn't mean I'm wrong, because I'm not. And it most certainly doesn't make me angry that other people have a different opinion !

However if we want to talk about really being wrong let's have a thread on all your crap re. Origi and Firmino eh ?

And I've challenged @Hansern on his 'several media outlets have him as MOTM' comment and he hasn't come up with anything other than that dickhead at the BBC. So come on Hansern - give us the links to these 'other media outlets' or did you just make that up ?

Yeah it's almost as embarrassing as posting false stats and then trying to back them up eh?

Is that directed at me (if you don't use the quote function we can only guess to what you are referring). I'm going to assume it is ... and they weren't false stats you wummer. Whether it was 37 or 40 it didn't matter as both were ahead and both illustrated the point being made. If there was an error then take it up with OPTA instead of being a whinge on here.

Origi certainly proved me wrong. By scoring the seventh Premiership goal of his entire career. And his first of the season.

As for Firmino, I'm still unsure what you're angrily quacking on about. I thought everyone else had agreed that he doesn't score enough goals?

His contribution as measured against other midfielders is pretty good though

With 5 goals in total he's only one goal behind Swansea's Leroy Fer and West Ham's Antonio. And his team-mate Mane.

And that's one more than Joe Allen has managed so far in the Premiership too!

That's a contender for the worst post ever made right there.
Oh dear.
Embarrassing.

To be honest I havent read that many, but BBC and Whoscored had him as MOTM. The Echo and a few others rated him a 7. Most give him a 7 actually.
So a 4 or a 5 is way off.

Thats what the discussion is about isnt it?

Yeah, I'm going MAD with rage

It's amazing I can even *effortlessly* ruin you, with all this unbridled emotion going on too

It's not anymore

Henderson played pretty well. Not amazing. But better than average obviously. If you disagree you're wrong.

Anything else is just extraneous.

What's amazing, and truly effortless, is how I've kept you posting shite whilst I've enjoyed watching West Ham take a point (and almost win) at OT. Match over so I'll go back to processing photographs now. *blows kiss at the troll*

Origi certainly proved me wrong. By scoring the seventh Premiership goal of his entire career. And his first of the season.

This player, when he was 22, had scored 6 goals in his entire career in the premier league
City, 06-07 - 2/0
City, 07-08 - 3/1
City, 08-09 - 16/4
Chelsea, 09-10 - 13/1
Chelsea, 10-11 - 13/0

How do you feel about Daniel Sturridge again? 🙂

I love Sturridge

Do you think Origi will score 50 goals as quickly?

Sturridge is miles better than Origi and always will be

I dunno - depends how many starts he has.

Origi has the talent - has led an int'l team in the world cup (and a bloody good one at that) - and has the right work rate/attitude to be a world class player.

Whether he will be, or won't, time will tell ... but it's not a foregone conclusion like you assume it is (love does blind you!)

Origi's quality. When he played at the tail end of last season he was unplayable at times. He's got everything, pace, power a great touch and yes, he will score goals. He's been unfortunate not to get in the team so far this season, which explains his goal drought in the same way it explains Sturridge's. If both were playing regularly, they would be scoring regularly.
