If Toure's out, this is a disaster. And that's what we think about Toure after a couple of games. Toure should be replacing Carragher, who should have been 3rd choice last season. Instead he was our best defender.

And yet we build around Agger.

I cannot fathom what has happened this summer. After what we saw last year, the idea that a CB wouldn't be THE big purchase just makes me angry. It's as stupid and basic a mistake as not having adequate options in attack.

We know Rodgers doesn't rate Skrtl, so get rid of him at the beginning of the summer. Now we may end up hanging on to him out of necessity, and we will have made no significant improvement to a woeful defense and anemic midfield.
