Re: Liverpool Vs Manchester Utd: Pre-Match thread

I thought we had a Man Utd'd thread .

Yes, I know I mis-spelt "Utd", so did Neety, yesterday.

Wub U Neetles x

Re: Liverpool Vs Manchester Utd: Pre-Match thread

Kenny is mum on Carroll's debut. Hope he starts and gets a full 90 minutes under his belt.

I would love to see us play 2 up top and have a go at the Scum. Suarez will be keeping them on their toes with his darting runs and trickery.

With Kelly out, I'm interested to see if we play 3 at the back again.

Re: Liverpool Vs Manchester Utd: Pre-Match thread

I doubt he'll start. He's not played for over 2 months.

Hopefully on the bench though.

Re: Liverpool Vs Manchester Utd: Pre-Match thread

I don't think I can re-call a single post from Foxworld, apart from ones moaning about threads. Anyway I think there's a thread about tickets for the game.

Yep, that's actually a pretty good side.

Re: Liverpool Vs Manchester Utd: Pre-Match thread

Assuming there's no Carroll, that's pretty much our best available side.

Nearly everyone in that side played at Upton Park tho 🙁

Re: Liverpool Vs Manchester Utd: Pre-Match thread

I want Carroll on the bench and given twenty mins at a tired Wes Brown.

Hope Agger, Raul and the Fabster are fit. Feel we can do them.

Re: Liverpool Vs Manchester Utd: Pre-Match thread

I think he just might play Carroll from the start and see how he gets on. With Brown and Smalling at the back we should have a right go at them. Even a half fit Carroll along with Suarez is going to cause those two some problems.
I know that he was very close to making the bench last week, and it was surprise that he did not take part.

regards

Gerrard ruled out of Man United game
Published 23:01 05/03/11 By Simon Mullock

Steven Gerrard broke down in training yesterday with a recurrence of his groin injury.

And that injury heartbreak must make Liverpool’s inspirational skipper a major doubt for today’s clash with big rivals Manchester United at Anfield.

The Kop skipper, who returned to the team after a three-game absence in the defeat at West Ham last week, felt the problem flare up as Kenny Dalglish put his men through their final preparations at their Melwood training ground.

Anfield sources fear Gerrard is likely to miss the United showdown clash.

----------------

It looks bad but don't we usually perform well against Man U without Gerrard or am I just imagining this?

Team for tomorrow IMO.

Re: Liverpool Vs Manchester Utd: Pre-Match thread

fuck sake, although he was dire against west ham

Re: Liverpool Vs Manchester Utd: Pre-Match thread

How come the Gerrard "injury" hasn't been reported anywhere else ?

Re: Liverpool Vs Manchester Utd: Pre-Match thread

Sligth strain. Fitness test this morning.

Maybe the bench?

Re: Liverpool Vs Manchester Utd: Pre-Match thread

i think we will see Spearing start - Id even consider sticking Aurellio at LM to help whoever our left back is to cope with Nani. Id rather see Insua back playing LB instead of ruining players confidence by playing them out of position. however, i dont think he has returned from Gala.

Skrtel should never play again and i doubt Carrol is ready. Its better for him to wait until he is fully fit. 35 million is a big amount and playing him unfit and unprepared isnt going to help his cause..

.........................Reina...

Carra.. Kyriakos...Wilson.... Agger

Johnson.... Spearing...Lucas....Aurellio

.........................Meireles
.................Ngog....................Suarez.

Our squad is kinda shit...

Re: Liverpool Vs Manchester Utd: Pre-Match thread

Don't think old cocknose will be too happy with us fielding 12.

Me too - for no other reason than it'll stop people saying afterwards "wish Cole had have played".

Re: Liverpool Vs Manchester Utd: Pre-Match thread

Danny Wilson was laughably bad against West Ham and I think it would be too early for him to face Rooney who is just coming into form.

Re: Liverpool Vs Manchester Utd: Pre-Match thread

It will probably be:

Reina

Johnson Carra Skrtel Agger

Lucas Spearing

Kuyt Meireles Cole

Suarez

4-3-3, 4-5-1, 4-2-3-1. Lots of options.

Our midfield is shite though, and it will take a immense performance from all three if we're going to get something out of this.

He had a bad first half, he's got to learn somehow, should we write him off based on one performance?

As for Skrtel, yeah he had a bad game but he was excellent in the games leading upto it, especially Chelsea. He's had an off season but he's not finished.
