Just got back from the game, decent run out in which the boys didnt look to interested.
Johnson, Cavalieri, Lucas, Babel and Kuyt impressed me in the first half. Benayoun, Masch, Insua and Kelly in the 2nd half.
San Jose isnt ready yet, Dossena is slow and awful, Voronin is very frustrating to watch but scored a goal. Babel should be tried more up front, was pretty good there when he switched positions.
Oh, and Ayala was pretty good, I might eat some humble pie about him not being talented at all.

Degen was good as a winger, that was the biggest surprise..

I thought Kelly was excellent. And we found out Degen is much better as a RW than FB.

Babel was excellent.

One thing that's obvious is that we do have a raft of 'decent' players; but I don't think many have real potential to be at Liverpool.

I think we'd be better selling off some of these players who clearly have no real future here.

Just saw a highlight of the 2 goals.

Babel down the right with the cross for Voronin was good.

Mascher's 50 yard cross to Dossena (who controlled to set up Ngog's goal) was almost Xabi-ish.

Either it is poor opposition or that we still do have some decent players! 😉

Ryan your video highlight did not show how Voronin started the move and how he ended scoring the goal.

The second goal started with Mascher doing a 50 yards crossfield pass (so like Xabi's long range range pass) to Dossena who managed to control and passed to Ngog. Great stuff.
