Gruijc off with a head injury aswell;

Klopp has said that Grujic has gone to hospital and cannot remember anything. Possible concussion. Fuuuuuck

Never good to lose a game but hopefully we'll learn a bit from the game.Klopp has said that Grujic has gone to hospital and cannot remember anything.

Dear Malibu - Please stop going to Liverpool games (and when you do, let me know so I can make some money?). Thanks - LTW.

On a more serious note, tell us what you thought of players etc

Read that Klavan and Ejaria were good but Moreno was awful.
We need a new left back.

@JamesPearceEcho
Klopp says that Fabregas has been in the #LFC dressing room to apologise for challenge on Klavan

From the highlights it looks like we gave loads of freekicks away near our box. Has Lucas a disciple in the team? Who was to blame?

It was a typical Conte's team performance. One goal and they sat back invited Liverpool to atrack.

Karius didn't have much to.

Klavan was solid throughout the game. Surprisingly pacy as well.

Hendo had a decent run out and looking mobile.

Mind you, that's what I could glean from a shitty stream.

Check out the Chelsea players surrounding the referee after the sending off. Terry holding/hugging the referee saying it was never a red.

Fucking pathetic behavior! You'd hope Terry watches the footage later and is embarrassed - but I doubt it..

It was a good decision by the ref but surely even the most stubborn man would start to doubt himself after such remonstrations

Conte apologized for Fabregas' challenge. He is a lot classier than Chelsea players who kept surrounding the referee and making a meal about every challenge after the red card incident. Mourinho taught them too well...

Most of our attackers looked good against a very defensive Chelsea side.

I thought Chelsea looked utterly toothless bar the corner and maybe a flash or two. Like, really really bad.

I ask - as I didn't watch the game - how did we look good and create so few chances? 🙂

Are you sure it wasn't you who got the bang on the head?

Some of the Echo's ratings/comments :

Moreno 5 : A bit of a nightmare 82 minutes for the Spaniard. He was shown a yellow card early on for a rash challenge on Willian and generally used the ball poorly.

Ragnar 7 : As a left-footer, he looked comfortable moving out of defence, offering passes to the midfielders ahead. On the back foot, he was reliable; his positioning was smart and he appears to read the game well, as evidenced by a superb interception from Willian's ball in the first half. A certain goal was saved, and an impression certainly made.

Connor Randall 6 :Another solid showing from the full back.

Ovie Ejaria 8: A superb display from the 18-year-old. Hard to tell what he's going to do with the ball – and not sure he knows half the time – but is effective. Energetic, too. Unfortunate not to register superb assist for Firmino.

Marko Grujic 6: His most disappointing outing yet.

Everyone else got a 6/10 which tells you a lot about the match in general. 'Turgid' the word the Echo used.

Is Moreneo the new lucas, continuing to be shite and still getting picked.

Amazed we didn’t make LB a priority this summer and still haven’t signed someone.

Giving us all the possession seems to be a decent defensive strategy.

As long as we don't have a defensive mid it is a very good strategy for our oppenent. The only mid we have that have any clue how to protect the back four is *****. We need one of our CM to stay back all the time and protect the back four.
