Over the past many Seasons it's been beach ball in and upright out for us.
This Season it's different. We suddenly get back into games when we look the most inept. We save penalties in the dying seconds and we defend leads despite playing poorly for entire 2nd halfs. Very unlike Liverpool for a long while.
Now we just need to play proper football again in longer spells than 5 minutes here and there, then who knows how long we can go?
Need to change formation now as has been said. We haven't even defended well with 3 CBs anyways. Sakho looks very good today mind.

Or Toure/Skrtel off and Alberto/Allen on with Moses being moved into his normal position?
Keep the three centre backs and just tell the wing backs to play practically as wingers.
Or go 4-2-3-1 and replace Cissokho with Allen, who can play in behind with Moses out wide.
Moses hasn't shown enough given time and space on the ball let alone when trying to break down a deep lying defence. We'll have Sturridge, Johnson and Suarez who can run at defenders so does Moses add enough to the side to keep his place?
Maybe give him 15mins to see if he can improve but otherwise I'd sub him. He's been awful so far.
Moses actually had a couple of nice runs and passes in the #10 role. Not a natural fit there, obviously, but better than I thought he would be. Not sure if a change of formation is required at this stage. With 3 CBs and a man up, Johnson and Cissokho can both push very high up the pitch, basically becoming full-time wingers. That can create a lot of pressure on Newcastle.
Ideally, I would like to see Allen playing where Hendo is playing now because he might be a bit better at threading a pass through a congested area.

We need to make a change at half time, we have too many players just not turning up today. Sturridge looks knackered/uninterested while Henderson and Moses look too desperate and keep trying to force things that arent working, Cissokho on the other hand looks totally out of his depth

Agreed we are going to need all the creativity we can summon at this stage. We have become a very direct - and at times clinical - team.

Their goal came exactly the way I feared it would: not enough pressure in midfield and too many men in front of Mignolet obstructing his field of vision. Of course the same exact goal can easily be conceded by a team playing with a back 4. But maybe had we flooded the midfield at the expense of the back 3, it would have been just a bit less likely.
Well of course I'm happy with the equaliser but there is some glaring issues that need to be dealt with. Hendo, Moses and Cissokho were all poor imo. Sterling has to come on I think. Allen would be good too.
I'd be very tempted to drop a centre half for Allen or Alberto

Aly has taken the form from Spain with him it seems. Whenever watching him play for Valencia (although only a handful of times) he looked clumsy and out of his depth.
Leave it as is for now.
If we can't get any goals by the 60th minute, bring on Alberto, move Moses to the right and take Cissokho off.

He's being closed off and Moses is getting too close to him to make any space for him to n in to

I realised in the first half I'd not got on the pair of socks I'd worn for every Liverpool match bar the Utd game this season.
I went & changed them & as I came downstairs Studge played that ball in & the ref blew the whistle.
