Liverpool Vs Chav Palstic Bell Whiffs

I'm guessing not many will be awake for this one, but it's televised in Canadia and with the four hour time difference it's not too unbearable. Anyway...

Karius in goal, Moreno, Klavan, Lovren and Randall at the back, Stewart, Grujić and Ejaria in the middle, Coutinho, Firmino and Mané up front (4-3-3, 4-2-3-1, whatever Klopp goes with that's more or less how we'll line up). Will be interesting to see how those central midfielders fare against Chelsea, who should be strong through the middle.

Where are you in Canada?

Lucas' ghost, obv. It's been summoned by Arn to haunt us until the end of days.
Haha... poor Lucas;
Moreno was erratic and poor as mentioned elsewhere already. Firmino didn't impress much and i think he lost Cahill for the goal aswell.

So what do we think of our number 50? 4 or 5 pre-season friendly and no impression made?

I saw the last 20 mins and everything went through the right side with Milner. A couple of passes sideways and backwards from Marko on the left.

Any glimmer of hope?

Anyone thought Brannagan resembles Coutinho? The size, the running style and the passes. I really thought I was watching Coutinho at one point.

I watched the full game.

Typical ore-season friendly, with players getting tuned up.

Hard to make a real judgement on one game, but as mentioned, Chelsea scored and sat back - we showed invention going forward, but no cutting edge.

The goal was typical from us - set piece and someone loses one of the key aerial threats.

We responded well to conceding and looked the better side, but nothing doing.

The only thing I'd say that is completely obvious, is that our season will yet again hinge on Sturridge's hamstrings and whether Ings & Origi will step up a level.

Bit early for that when we were missing 5-6 players, including Matip, Gini, Clyne, Can etc. But arent most teams dependant on their strikers anyway?

Dear Malibu - Please stop going to Liverpool games (and when you do, let me know so I can make some money?). Thanks - LTW.

On a more serious note, tell us what you thought of players etc

I was on another level, so I don't know how much use my analysis will be.

I do remember getting excited about Mane a lot though.
