They were having a kick about at Stafford service station today so they should be well prepared. Anyone going to this? Are tickets still available? I think it will be a decent warm up match.

ha... that's what I'm thinking, I'm picturing him sat, playing on his DS, asking every 5 minutes if it's finished yet.

I'm going to go and take the kids with me. Cue spending 90 minutes answering the most obscure questions under The Lying Rag.

What age do you reckon is best taking the kids?

I'd love to take Luke to a match but he's 4, & I can see it being a bit of a nightmare & I'm unsure how interested he'd be.

My daughter is just over four and a half.

She probably won't get that much out of it but it's the experience and a day out. The football can come later if she's still interested. Also I'm sure a bag of sweets will go a long way.

I took my boy when he was four and we ended up leaving just before half time.....Now he is 6 he is a lot better and he is looking forward to this weekend.

When I took Dom aged 4, all he could think of was what joyous chocolate treat would be coming out of his rucksack next. A year later, he actually watched a full match whilst asking relevant questions. Even though he started cheering and clapping every time the Brighton fans started to sing!!!! Olivia aged 7 was really taken by it and even talked about player positions and wanted to know the offside rule...... All this from a girl who 'hates football'. Luke aged 4 night not be quite ready FFF. X

I am taking my almost six year old to see the New York red bulls soon enough. She's just agreed to be a Liverpool fan because they have a purple kit, and I said I would buy. I think I see the strategy behind this kit for the American market now...

Yeah, I think its going to sell like crazy here. The purple Vince Carter jersey always seemed to sell well too.

I took my eldest when he was 4 into the Kop for Ronnie Moran's testimonial game with Celtic, he loved every minute of it but was more of a fanatic at that age than my youngest lad is now (who's 8). He knew the name of every player and was chanting throughout.

It seems a consistent theme from everyone that 4 is too young.

The fact he can't sit through a full match at home, calls any team in red Liverpool & gets confused when they wear the away kit (despite him owning last season's away kit & me explaining countless times) & tends to call whoever is in blue 'stinky everton' (I use the blue for poo rhyme, this helps & hinders, but tribal brainwashing should begin early I think, like religion does it) means he's a way off yet.

He still a confused at keepers picking it up & throw ins too.

Yeah, definitely too early.

I had a young boy, probs about 4 sat behind me with his dad, on Thursday night.

My evening consisted of 'Dad, why are they doing this? Dad why are they doing that? Dad what's this? Dad why are they standing up?'

It was quite impressive that he could come up with questions for the full 90 minutes.

I think his dad, wanted to kill him by the end, he actually told him to shut up at one point. He didnt. Luckily he was cute.

That's what pretty much my entire life consists of at the moment.
