Fair enough, we can't expect him to be the finished article, or as good as the likes of Kane, and certainly nowhere near the quality of Owen, Fowler or Torres, but if he's not, WHY THE FUCK IS HE PLAYING UP FRONT FOR LIVERPOOL FC?

In fairness, Sturridge hasn't scored much in this setup either, or our "main striker" Firmino. So although we apparently create alot of chances, we're not very good at feeding strikers chances in the more orphodox sense. It's more about short interchanges and passes to create openings for whoever ends up on the end of the chances - great fluid movement, but at times unreliable because many of our players are too hit and miss infront of goal.

Had they got a penalty off that we would have been pissed off and rightly so.
As I said, I think it was weak.

We had two hands on the player stopping him going towards the ball, it wasn't in anyway soft, it was blatant.

However despite all the crap on here re. our defence so I'm just reading it for the first time (I've given up following the mach threads on here because they are just some cunts pointing out every minute error from players that play for Liverpool that they have an innate dislike for and gloat on their every mistake) there are a lot more goals in this match and most will be our way. Could easily be 4-2, 4-3 by the final whistle, West Ham have an awful defence.

Payet is one of the best FK takers in the PL (THE best?), the ball went over a West Ham player and Karius was covering his left hand side - as he should with the wall on the right. Poor tackle by Lallana but you simply can't give Payet a FK from there. The second was very unfortunate, a defection wrong-footed Matip and one-on-ones can go either way. Neither was actually out an out poor defending despite the anticipated vitriol from the expected posters here.
