lallana off HT please, he doesn't do it for me.

and moreno needs selling in summer.. but we already knew that.

Great half for us. We've been excellent, but they still have had chances. Nervy, brilliant euro night so far.
 
Moreno almost caught out again, miles up the pitch

The ref needs to sort then out with some cards in the second half if they carry on like that. Joke.

Coutinho and Lallana need to buck up their ideas.
 
Such a shame we couldn't get a second.

Not sure I agree with taking Lallana off. He's been poor at times, esp towarss the end of the half, but when we had the ball upfront early on his runs were helping tear them apart.

Also, we'll probably end up taking someone off for benteke midway through the second half.
 
at HT i'd take off lallana for allen, drop him back alongside can... milner on the left, firmino right and cou #10.
 
We're played fantastically, and clearly rattled Villarreal, but i'm really disappointed we haven't got two, I fear even if we score another, as the half goes on, we'll start to sit on our lead, and Villarreal will score. Their manager will calm them down and reorganise them at half time, he'll also have someone press Can, who has bossed the game, I hope Klopp has a big move up his sleeve.
 
I get stupidly irrationally superstitious watching the match.

It's now gotten darker, but I don't want to switch the lamp on cos we played so well without it being on.

I'm such a tit.
 
Someone needs to get to the left side far post when Milner or Clyne hits a cross from our right. I think there have been about 3 occasions when Villarreal vacated that spot when we hit a long cross into that pocket in the left. Unfortunately, nobody's been there to capitalize. The one time we did get someone there, we scored.

it's not a defensive change, allen provides just as good pressing wise and is better on the ball... milner looks like the 1 capable of producing, so i say play him higher up the pitch.
