How good was Rhys Williams? So dominant in the air, and aside from a few understandable moments where he was clearly looking for guidance from Fabs and Hendo, he was confident, good with the ball at his feet (that pass where he stole it off Kane and played in Salah! Not to mention the pass outwide to Robbo in the build up to the first goal) and generally just brilliant.. I'm just in awe at his potential.

He has to stay around the first team and continue to get games, he looks every bit the understudy to VVD and Matip.

Anfield loves Jose. I'm surprised he didn't mention the goal that he had taken out of his version of the history books.

Contrary to popular belief it seems I dont think Spurs came out parking the bus. They were simply outplayed for the first 45 and as such had a lot of defending to do.

Second half was more in sync with their gameplan but overall by far the best team on the night won.

PS What a warm and fuzzy feeling seeing spectators again in the Kop End..

His positioning for Son's goal wasn't great, he knew that he was supposed to take a step forward, just didn't do it fast enough.
He looked like a deer in headlights a few times, especially when he found himself further up the pitch than he normally is.
That being said, it was a very good performance. He's great in the air and he's not afraid of challenges. His passing isn't that bad either.

Is he a bit Rio Ferdinandy? Facially and stylistically?

Be delighted if he turns out as good

I think the fact he played 4-4-2, with sissoko at RW opposing Mane and Davies started at LB, instead of Regullon - who bombs forward non-stop, meant that Spurs were a) playing a 'special' formation for the night and b) were looking to protect their defense.

I don't think we tired at all in the 2nd half, they just broke really well - which is what they're world class at doing.

I thought they parked the bus, and we're ready to.apring a counter at any moment. Son being high and kane to hold up the ball while son bombed on.

It worked for them. Another day we could have lost

yup, and another day, we could have been up 4/5-1 at half time considering how many good chances we had on the edge of the box.

Some hacks hailing it this morning as 'another Mourinho masterclass'. They're still dazzled by this little tit. His team lost!

It was typical of JoMo to try and deflect the fact that he lost. Puts up a smokescreen, waffling and whinging, any old crap just as long as he doesn't have to answer to the fact that they came here and didn't have the guts to take us on..sat deep and defended and tried the odd counter..I mean how the feck is that a "masterclass"..........masterclass in bullshit that's about all..

Yes. I really think he enjoys seeing others lose far more than he does winning himself. That's what really gets me about him. His football is joyless because he's joyless, it's all about stopping others, frustrating others, angering others. That's it. That's all he's got. I don't know why anyone admires someone like that.

Because he's won ... winning is the bottom line ... It's why no one really has time or patience for Pulis or Allarydce.
I can only hope he wins nothing this year, and they miss out on top 4 ... That would be entertainment.

Seriously?
LOL.

Like Kane with his 'head injury' (if it was one, Gini would have gone down too), Dier went down because that's Mourinho's way ... Try to get an advantage at all costs. Dier stays up, we may not score. Glad the tactics were rewarded. Cunt.

The character that Mourinho has always played was of course always irritating but at least when he was winning trophies he could point to the fact that he was successful. By his standards though he hasn't actually won a lot for years, so he just seems bitter. He is probably even more bitter when it is Liverpool as it was supposedly the job he wanted but never got (which can't have been nice for someone as arrogant as him).

If he wants to delude himself that his side were the better team yesterday, and that he was somehow robbed of victory and that he is treated unfairly and whatever else he wishes to cry about, that's up to him, he can get on with it.

The media love him because he will always feed them with something deliberately controversial. You could see that yesterday, as soon as he started on about Klopp's behaviour the interviewers lapped it up and started trying to shit stir with Klopp about it, hoping to ignite a row.
