There's plenty to like about Harry Kane; fabulous talent, humble and polite, works hard, with the same girl he met at school, doesn't have a stupid fucking tattoo or want to hang about with rappers or basketball players.

Proper old-fashioned in looks and personality. Quite refreshing and different from the typical modern footballer.

I do think he seems borderline Downs, though.

He had every right to try to clear that ball; in fact he absolutely had to. Lamela inserted his butt between Van Dijk's foot and the ball at the last second, as soon as Van Dijk saw him he held up his kick. There was contact, but absolutely no intention of a foul and to give this kind of penalty in the last minute of a game, especially overruling his own decision... I don't like when Klopp talks about the referees, but here I have to completely agree with him – the referee did everything possible to insert himself in the center of the conversation.

Carragher is getting more and more tiresome. When he was playing, he'd pass it around at the back, too scared to play it forward, and then for the benefit of the stands he'd pass it and then point, really melodramatically, forwards, then he'd watch and either ignore the teammate if the pass went well or berate him, again for the fans, if it went badly. He was a damn coward and it infuriates me now when he does his snide critiques these days. They should ban him from covering our games

It's not nearly the same. Lovren is looking straight at their player and makes it easy for the player to go down by making contact. Lamella is on the blind side of VVD and runs into him. It's totally different.

I thought the first one wasn't offside because it came off a Liverpool player, unless it was also offside earlier. Kane then got caught by the keeper, although the contact looked slight

Second one VVD does hit him after pulling out of the challenge, Lamela made a fucking five-course meal of it. Could be argued either way, but for both penalties to be given is very unfortunate.

But we didn't deserve to win.
