Should be a stroll in the park, really. Important thing will be some of our first-teamers getting more game-time fitness and sharpness, and hopefully scoring a few goals to boost confidence. Who'll play? Here's my guess...

Cavalieri

Magic - Carra - Agger - Aurelio

Gerrard - Lucas

Cole - Aquilani - Jovanovic

Wash

Probably with the likes of Pacheco, Skrtel and Kelly coming on when the result's secure...

Is the match on the tele ?

Would like to see Jovanovic start up front to see if he's an option up top and Maxi to start to prove that he's staying.

I hope that Pacheco gets game time tonight. Good to see Roy wanting to put out a very strong team.

It would be mad not to play the best part if our first team in this game 9 days from the start of the premiership.
Reina
Aurelio
Agger
Carragher
Johnson
Lucas
Gerrard
Cole
Aquilani
Amoo
Ngog.

Amoo played against Tranmere the other day, so I doubt he'll start. I forgot about Maxi actually. Maybe the front four will be:

Maxi - Aquilani - Cole

Jovanovic

?

Jovanovic instead of Amoo.

Is Aurelio in the squad? Was he presented to UEFA at that time?
[/quote]

I don't know. But the thought of putting the useless tubby cunt back into any Liverpool team is fucking depressing.

It would also be great to see Shelvey and Patcheco play, but they won't and we'll see the usual bellends like Lucas, Eggnog and Aquilani.

I think you are right about most players in your critic but I think you´ll be proven wrong about Aquilani.

Has Brendan turned into a spambot?

I think you are right about most players in your critic but I think you´ll be proven wrong about Aquilani.

Our squad and first XI is going to be much the same quality as last season.

Defence = same.
Tragically and shamefully.

Midfield = worse.
Lucas STILL FUCKING THERE. No Mascherano. And that cunt Poulsen.

Attacking midfield = Slightly better
Addition of Cole.

Attack = same.
Torres here for another year at least (we hope). No other back-up apart from Eggnog, who isn't very good.

Manager = never won anything in his career.

Pardon me for not being in any way optimistic

an injury free aurelio (don't laugh) improves the defense.

Hahahaha!

No matter what, they need to win 3-0 to go through, and there is no way they will even score a goal against us. We are through

I think you are harsh on Roy. Just a few years back he took Viking STavanger to a decent top half position in the norwegian league. That must count for a win!!!!

From the BEEB:

Liverpool are set to field star players in the second leg of their Europa League third qualifying round tie against Rabotnicki on Thursday.
The Reds lead 2-0 from the first leg in Macedonia and summer signing Joe Cole could make his first competitive appearance for the Anfield club.
"I will put out the strongest team possible," said manager Roy Hodgson.
Fellow World Cup players Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher may feature too, along with Argentina's Maxi Rodriguez.
Liverpool are still without wantaway midfielder Javier Mascherano, as he was not registered for the early stages of the competition, while Spain duo Fernando Torres and Jose Reina and Netherlands pair Dirk Kuyt and Ryan Babel will not be considered as they only returned to training this week.

But the likes of Cole, captain Gerrard and Carragher may play after featuring in the friendly match against Borussia Moenchengladbach at the weekend.
"We are stronger on paper than we were in the first game because players that I did not consider using have now played at least 45 minutes on Sunday," added Hodgson.
"That gives me a chance to throw them into the game. There are a few that are just back to Melwood after their holidays and we won't be risking them of course.
"If they are senior players and they have been training with us for the last week or so since we got back and the medical people are confident we can use them without prejudicing their future we will use them."
Rabotnicki are set to name the same side as the one that lost in Skopje on Thursday, but coach Zoran Stratev admits he is already resigned to their fate.
"Macedonian football is at this level and I don't think we can do any more - but our fans may hope for something special in the match," said Stratev.

Liverpool (from): Cavalieri, Johnson, Carragher, Skrtel, Agger, Aurelio, Aquilani, Gerrard, Jovanovic, Lucas, Cole, Ngog, Spearing, Kelly, Eccleston, Pacheco, Darby, Insua, Rodriguez, Gulacsi, Shelvey.

It would be silly to drop the Nog after he scored 2 goals in the last game. I know a lot of people don't rate him, but he deserves to retain his place and maybe he might develop into a half decent player if he is shown a bit of patience.

I wish we hadn't played Suso the other night. I'd have loved him to have got some minutes in this game. Let's hope Pacheco gets a bit of time on the field.

Agree, though I do think he still needs to play less often overall for the first team and more for the ressies if he's to have the best chance of progressing. Part of the problem last season was that he was (in footballing terms) still a boy being sent out to do a man's job. Torres' fitness and the signing of a competent back-up striker (whether that be Jovanovic or someone else) will have a lot to do with how Wash turns out IMO.

Except for the fact he wasn't registered for this tie.

From : Cavalieri, Johnson, Carragher, Skrtel, Agger, Aurelio, Aquilani, Gerrard, Jovanovic, Lucas, Cole, Ngog, Spearing, Kelly, Eccleston, Pacheco, Darby, Insua, Rodriguez, Gulacsi, Shelvey.

..................................... Cavalieri

Johnson ........Carra .............Skrtel (Agger injured ?) .... Aurelio

Maxi ...................Gerrard ............. Aquilani ...................Jovanovic

........................................ Cole

............................................... N'Gog

Bench : Gulacsi, Spearing, Kelly, Eccleston, Pacheco, Darby, Shelvey.

We certainly don't need a DM against this lot. I want to see an attacking line-up, the likes of which we may see at home against weaker opposition in the league.

Reina

Kelly Kyrgiakos Agger Aurelio

Maxi Lucas Gerrard Cole

I'd rather play 4-4-2 against this lot tbh. It's at home for FFS.

Cavalieri

Johnson Carra Skrtel Aurelio

Maxi Gerrard Lucas Cole

NGog Jovanovic
