The Suarez chant had started prior to that though, I'd imagine half the booing was because he had an altercation with a fan, that's just normal fan reaction. Should they assume it's racism? The fan might have said something racist, or he might have just had a go at the lad. Like I said a few weeks back (before Gene gave me shit for it), this has opened a can of worms and we'll get all manner of cards thrown about in both ways. People will play on it. I agree if that's what's happened then the fan is a prick, there's always one, but players will now look for it aswell.

As for 'tribalism'. No one knows what's even happened yet. The main sore point in all of this now is that we're an easy target for bellends and for people looking for a reason to get us in shit.
 
Sounds bad but I hope it's someone throwing something, not racist abuse.

Shocking either way, but racism now considering everything else would be even worse for our club.

The radio said he had one of those Suarez t-shirts on... maybe the player said something to him about that and then hence the rest of the crowd singing the Suarez song?

That's me being hopeful, but it looks likely that some fucking dickhead has really tarnished the club. I doubt the rest of the fans in the ground would be singing for Suarez and booing the player if they knew the "fan" was being racist.

If it's the ones I saw on the TV, there were three or four of them together in wigs or jester hats or something and Suarez T-shirts on. If our worst fears are confirmed, then Dalglish will be blamed for this.
