Keita just doesn't move into space. Compare Keita to Wijnaldum and the difference is vast. Gini is always on the move to receive a pass, shifting the opposition about with his play and can break up opponents attacks by simply being at the right place at the right time. Keita walked around in that first half almost offended that Leicester were sitting so deep and appeared to have very little inclination to make an impact.
I'm confident he will improve because he is a talented footballer but I'd like to see some more effort and application at a time when things are struggling to click for him. Hopefully the evolution of Wijnaldum, to some extent, can be a source of hope.
If the hope is he might get as good as Gini if we persist with him then we may as well have burnt the fifty million quid in some Hebridean chaos magic ritual.
Gini is ok now. Keita is in the top ten most expensive midfielders of all time, and should be better than ok. Ok would be nice compared to the shite he's serving up now, but not exactly value for money.
