Could be worse.

Makes me think we can still win the league. More fool me I s'pose.
Anyway, I am routing for Arsenal in this next match.
I always think we'll the league until an impossibility.

I don't think SG is half fit.

I'm not getting any younger, that's for sure.

Gerrard was pretty much anonymous. Well below his high standards but he's allowed an off day every once in a while.
he reminds me of the old godzilla cartoon. just waiting there, as the little people on the ship get themselves in more and more shit before having to press the red button. the steven gerrard must think oh for fucks sake you annoying pricks, before he does what he does to save them from their own stupidness

Yeah, but he hasn't been great all season. His form seems to reflect the team as a whole.

He's been injured for large parts of it.

LOL@Dantes.

Great win today and a much needed 3 points.

It adds a little bit of extra sweetness to the result, knowing that they'll feel hard done by.

But Gerrard did play a big part in challenging for the ball which resulted in our 2nd goal. Thought he could've been given a rest after we were 2-0 up.

We only started playing when Benny and Riera come on, giving us natural width and drive. Amazing what can happen when you're a bit more positive, eh, Rafa. He's his own worst enemy at times with his cautious streak and picking struggling defensive players in creative positions.

Kuyt, Masch, Pepe and Carra were magnificent. Lucas complete non enitity.

Fuck off Blueshite.

He's been injured for a month and is still having inections in his groin. It would be nice if, you know, someone else stepped up every now and then instead of relying on Stevie.

I do hope that more people start using Godzilla analogies in football

it works. lucas = godzooky.

We won! And kept a clean sheet! Absolutely amazing, considering how badly we played. Could this be what we needed to regain a bit of confidence and hope?

We've remembered how to win when playing shit. Now we just need to remember how to play football again...
None of that matters, silly.

Aquilani didn't come on.

Purple didn't come on because Lucas was helping us to 'control the game' by being repeatedly ass-raped by Fellaini for 90 minutes

It is rather worrying that teams seem to waltz through our midfield despite having two holding players on the pitch.

the way yossi and riera played when they came on i'll order some horse shit placenta myself it really is amazing .

Players have four options for beating Lucarse on the pitch;

1) Run past him
2) Run around him
3) Run over him
4) Run through him

All are effective

One of the worst midfielders in the Premiership, easily

Yeah but you don't often see players running under him.

Poor perfomance but three points so job done. Reira and Benayoun gave us something different with their introduction.
Amazed with how many posters seemed to be cheering each time Lucas was fouled. Pathetic to wish harm on one of our own players.

running behind him works aswell as he is bound to loose the ball

Hmmm... Not many people have read between the lines here, there was a quiet authority about us in the second half, they bossed possession in the first but produced fuck all, we got lady luck back on our side with the goal, but by and large, I thought we were the better side. Reina made the double save but that was their only real legal moment, the rest the fucked up for themselves.

Deserved win and well timed too. And I have to say, that's one of the worst Everton sides I've ever seen.

There was little authority in anything we did today Mark. We only began to look comfortable after they had run themselves into the ground.

Ha ha, are you sure Mark? If they'd won 4-2 I don't think we could really have complained.

Some of your posts about Lucas used to grate on me, because of the whole "support them cause they're Liverpool players in the end" thing, but fucked if I can't absolutely agree with this. Watching him against Fellaini was fucking infuriating, how can Rafa not see how badly he was getting dominated out there?

But they did really well for that.
