Liverpool v Crystal Palace Match Thread

It would be absolutely daft selling Mane. The only way he's replaced is if someone who's already in the squad manages to take his place.

Well excuse me if I don't an African on my left wing

I'm more of a right wing man

Yeah

So basically Salah has been outrageous again this season.
I'd argue that he's better this season than last. He's a much more rounded striker than last season & has offered a lot more to the side than just goals.

For all his brilliance last season they were games when if you'd have taken his goals out you'd barely see him on the ball.

Now he offers so much more IMO.

His output is even more impressive when you consider that the opposition now knows him well, he is often getting 2 or 3 players instantly closing him yet he still manages to get himself into space, or get enough room to find a team mate.

That's clearly part of the reason his game has evolved. It's had to cos otherwise he'd not be as effective as last season.

I love watching him work out teams. You see glimpses of him (on telly, at the ground must be much more obvious), turning players & running & getting a gauge on their speed & who covers what area. Then later in the game he'll get a ball & he'll be inbetween the area the two defenders in him are covering, against the weaker side with half a second more time to get the ball away & he takes his chance. He really is a very intelligent footballer.

Guys...when I think about this game..I dont feel good. I keep thinking of the goals we conceded rather than the victory..I know I shouldn't but these last two games have not filled me with confidence. Again .. we are winning against these lesser sides but every victory feels really hard earned. So I have to ask..as potential champions should not some of these wins against the teams below the top 6 be easier for us ? It feels like every game except agaunst West Ham, Bournmouth, and Arsenal has been a struggle. Why do Cities victories appear so fucking easy for them and ours feel like a fucking marathon.

Oh, give over. Some of the teams who have played Citeh were beaten before they even left the dressing-room. Those teams haven't got to that point against us yet, but we've STILL beaten them, and Citeh are starting to get the jitters about us now - witness Guardiola's comment a day or two ago about how it supposedly "won't be a disaster" if they don't win the league, and their fans' increasingly desperate attempts to have a go at us. Calm down for Heaven's sake.

Judge I am very calm .. just dont feel good about the manner of our recent wins.

It feels a little like the first half of the first half is the season, where we scrapped and fought but came through. With injuries piling up and a thin squad I'll take every win and look forward to February when we should be close to full strength.

Teams may not think they will get steamrollered by us but they'll know they'll likely lose all the same.

Tel that sumbitch to turn that post sideways. Shine it up real nice and stick it straight up his candy ass
@Oncy - it is true though ? - we are just scraping through lately. I want us to trash the opposition but those cunts just don't fall on their knees to take one from VVD and co like the way they are prepared to take it from Kompany and Co.

Blimey, can you imagine going with Moron to a match? 'Oh god, what if this train breaks down?...Is my watch slowing up? I'll be lost if my watch slows up...Those clouds look ominous. I hope it isn't going to snow...Are we going to be late? It'd be terrible if we're late...This pie tastes a bit funny. Does your pie taste a bit funny? I hope I don't get food poisoning. Imagine being ill at the game. Where would you go? Could you get up and go somewhere? Could an ambulance arrive in time?...Almost time for kick off, unless my watch is fast...God I hope no one gets injured, it'd be a disaster if someone gets injured...Several could get injured, now that would really be the end...I fear we're not going to win this...'

That's because of the gut. It looks great in the mirror but then the trousers slip down (voice of previous experience, I've lost a lot of weight since those days) 😉

He wears short-sleeved shirts as well. Appalling. He came into Melwood on his first day wearing a short-sleeved shirt. He looked like a mini cab driver. Managed like one, too.
