Pat could you ever read the whole fucking thread then post at the end?!?
No one you are replying to is interested in having a conversation about whats going on in the match 3 days later

I assume it is a cry for help.

There was a man from Madras
Who had balls that were made of brass
And in stormy weather
They would clang together
And sparks would come out of his arse

They do if you don't have a genuine regional accent. I can't stand the media types with posh/no accents who drop the odd "brasss/stafff/forecassst" into their spiel.

Yes. Some posh southern media types (including Kirsty Gallacher) insist on pronouncing Newcastle as 'N'cazzle,' while still pronouncing Lancaster 'Lahhncahhster'. Make up your mind!

I can and I will

Keita didn't have a good game, at all, yet bagged an assist. Mane scored after fucking up countless decent positions previously. All season he's been like that, but without consistent goals.

Mane has scored 10 which is only one less than Firmino, despite starting three fewer games.

Been lacking in form lately, losing the ball too easy, wasting big chances.
He will get back in the groove before the united game.

And firmino has been shite in front of goal most of the season too

I feel like People are assuming I want mane out the club, and that's not true at all. Out of the front 3 he's the most inconsistent.

We've got 3 players in the top 10 so far this season when it comes to scoring goals.
Salah 16, Firmino 9 and Mane 9.

Decent that.

Mane could contribute a little bit more for my liking. He has had some frustrating games but I think that's the type of player he is. He'll miss or snatch at a few chances, dust himself down and score a screamer moments later or in the next game.

He was excellent the last two seasons for us. He added an ability to drop deep and pick up the ball in tricky situations. We need that with Coutinho gone. His touch seems a little loose this season and he isn't finding space as much as he used to. However, he is still integral to how we play and attack as a team. I would like more from him but just because I feel he is capable of contributing more.

Love Mane. He looks his best when we have a creative #8/#10 (as most in our team do) - once we address this, or in the games where we do deploy Shaq i think he looks more threatening with his runs etc.

Like I said in another thread, Mane is not at his best when we need to be patient in build-up – his decision-making is too idiosyncratic and his passing game is simply not very good. When we counter at speed, he is still as good as ever and when we manage to isolate him 1 on 1 against a defender, he is unplayable. It's a really interesting task for Klopp to try to make the best out of Salah, Mane and Firmino at the same time; 3 players with very wide-ranging and unusual skill-sets.

You can't rate people on expectations. I know youl'l like this, he currently has a higher ave. score for this season on WhoScored than Hendo. 😀
Had a quick look in whoscored, was surprised to see this:

If we put Mane on the transfer market, every single club in Europe would be queuing up to buy him.

He can be shit for most of a game and still continually drag defenders about and cause threat.

I wouldnt sell him for all the wet wipes in the Thames.

Is right.

I've always been a big fan of Mane, because he's so direct, aggressive and quick. And he scores goals.
Him and Salah are the only two players we have who, when they get the ball, make the other team (and their fans) think "Oh shit"

He terrifies them.

Yeah, he's wasteful, and sometimes soooo frustrating - and he should probably score even more goals than he does - but I can't think of many teams who wouldn't be delighted to see him in their first XI.

So do people not believe he could be improved on?

He's clearly brilliant, and I never said sell him so this argument has gone very fucking defensive quickly; but do people believe we couldn't improve on him?

I think an improvement on him may cost us £70m upwards. I don't think it is reasonable to sell him and gamble on a new player that cost that much.

i think mane is an instinct player. if you give him time, he will most probably fluff the chance. but if he has to strike it on instinct. he will most probably hit it. that is the reason why he look wasteful this season compared to last. and i think that is also his strength. unpredictability.

Why do you fucking hate him so Mark? Hes a good pro. Youre out of order

I think the issue was because there seemed to be some weird comparison made between Mane and Keita, as if there was any comparison.
