I love you and your optimism, mate... But you're killing yourself here. The sooner that you accept that this year is fucked - has been since the everton match - and that anything we do in it is a bonus, the better for you, and all those around you.

Next year - if everybody is fit again - we'll win everything.

I dont' think we'll win the league ... at least not my head, or 99% of my heart ... but I still felt we could have this year, and it sucks that we've been robbed of a chance to solidify this team as one of the greatest ever due to injuries and unfortunately VAR robbery.

It does. You've seen my rants earlier in the season... It's fucking outrageous, what's been allowed to happen to us this season. But, it's happened, we're fucked and losing sleep over it won't uninjure VVD or Thiago, or allow the winner at that shitbox. But we'll be back next year, and when we win it then, we'll be able to say "And it would've been three straight if it weren't for injuries and covid". And we'll be right.

inshallah ma charra (did I say that right?) 🙂

There's no one factor that we can blame for failing to win it again. Mostly we were shit and others were better. On and off the field.

I say it’s about time we sacrificed Dreamie....

I can’t see another way out of it.

Sorry but that's bollocks. Compare our injury list to City's, Chelsea's, United's and there you have it in a nutshell. It's crap having to use injuries as an excuse but in this case it is totally valid.

Brighton highlighted how little goal threat our midfield are. They only seem to give the ball to one of the front 3 or play in a fullback. One of them needs to be interchanging more with the forward line otherwise we are just too predictable.

Lower teams aren’t giving us the chance to hit them on the break which our forwards excel at

It's why we need a player like Keita ... or even Ox before he got injured against Roma

Appaz #kloppout is trending on Twitter. There is absolutely 0 LFC fans that want Klopp out.

There is absolutely No Reason why any right think LFC supporters should want Klopp out, But It should not mean that questions are not asked regarding team selection, substitutions and tactics and why Klopp seems to make the same mistake over and over again.

The West Ham game, Jones for Minlner. why not start the Brighton and Hove Albion game with Jones..?

Would love to see both the Ox and Origi sold and Trossard (B&A) bought in

Our injuries mostly concern the back three, but we haven't conceded that many.

Why is our front line misfiring? Bobby, Mane, Salah, Trent and Robbo all fit, as were Shaq, Origi, Gini, etc

Absolutely 0 sane lfc fans, yes.
That will be started by opposition fans..

Absolutely will be..

Not one sane Liverpool fan would be calling for his head..

Only decision Klopp got wrong this season was playing an in form Jota in a dead rubber game

The resulting injury, sadly de railed us and blunted our attack...

Everything else has been rotten bad luck.

Every team that go on to win the title do so by having a strong spine within the team

This season that spine has been ripped apart through injuries.. Their is no suprise we are where we are

Alisson in and out..

No CBs

Henderson, Fabs dropping back to defence, destroying the balance in the team

Jota getting injured

Firminio in and out of form

City had this problem last seaso, we are having it this season..

We will be back.. no doubt about it..

A lot has been written about the knock on impact of the CB injuries on our full backs (keeping an eye over their shoulder as the trust in the CBs isn't there), midfield (playing in defence) and hence on the frontline.

On top of that Keita and Jota injuries mean less attacking options.

Then the general volume of injuries mean far less opportunity for rotations, leading to a general malaise all round.

So its not as simple as saying that the injuries are principally in defence and we are not conceding, so what's the problem?

Its also quite clear that we arent playing as high up the field as a team that we used to do before Virgil and Gomez injuries.
Which means that our transition from winning the ball or moving forward isnt as effective.
The whole team suffers, the attack suffers and there are just so many elements you can remove from a working machinery before it breaks down.

Its not surprising that we're struggling against teams defending deep in blocks with the make shift team and personnel we are fielding.

Will be interesting to see what we do in terms of transfers this summer. Its quite clear that we need an upgrade on Firmino.

It isn't so much about how many we have conceded (but still far more than last season). How about because we are missing both Fabs and Hendo from midfield? That has had a massive affect on the team and ball winning in midfield leading to breakaways and ball turnover, to say nothing of VvD's passing and goals/presence at set pieces. When is the last time we scored from a corner or set piece? We have no height so no threat.

Some people seem to think it's only the defence that's been affected when in reality it's the whole rhythm of the team.

Yeah.

Brighton have 3 of the tallest, most aerially dominatant CB/LBs in the league in Dunk, Webster and Burn.

We have the best. In VVD.

Last year, he scored 2 against these lot, Dunk scored 1, and was the difference in a game that was decided by set peices.

This season, we have almost no threat from corners or set pieces. And all those blocked shots that go out for a corner mean nothing anymore. Hell, we've even started playing them short/quick. Because we know we're not winning the first header 9/10.

Simple really - the chances we are creating are not that many per game - especially the clear cut ones. Then we have opposition players - especially their defenders playing "the game of their lives" - which I also think is down to them knowing our injury crisis and then probably tying to show Klopp with a great performance in the hope he will bid for them in the summer maybe. It's just too slow up front and the movement is all wrong - well hit and miss, against both West Ham and Spurs it was Ok but I think there is an underlying reason why we did West Ham and Spurs.

I actually think the lower 6 teams have a simple game plan - which is to defend first always and take any opportunities if they arise. Both Wes Ham and Spurs were probably actually caught in two minds as to what they should do and therefore we got those clearer chances. Both Burnley, and Brighton , WBA, Fulham, - all those teams were about defending deep, and any point where they lost the ball - it was clear - they ran back to defend immediately in numbers and a set formation, - with West Ham and Spurs - don't think that was the case when the ball was lost. Against Spurs it helped that we got the first goal.

At this point should we just park the bus against shit teams, let them get bold and use counterattacks. Become what we struggle against.
