Sort of. He's been 'guest speakering' at various lucrative football and sports seminars and conventions, and doing some short term consultancy work. He was really close to becoming technical director at Villa last spring until the ownership changed.
There's arguments for both sides, under Comolli we signed Suarez, under those american crooks we signed Torres, Xabi, Mascher. I'm not conviced that Kenny knew what he was doing with his picks though, if they were his.
Overall, under multiple managers, and different committees, our transfer dealings have been dire considering how much we've spent.
I do have faith in Klopp and his team to put this straight though.

The richest clubs can mitigate by simply buying more players, so if Mangala is a £40m disaster, you can spend £90m on Ottamendi and Stones. And if they don't work out, just buy some more.
Liverpool are not in that bracket, so any poor signing we make is more damaging, given the profile and expectations, and takes longer to rectify.

Judging by some of the comments coming out of Tottenham when they dumped Comolli, they weren't exactly heartbroken to let him go. Maybe we're now seeing why.
