We are on the verge of looing our identity big time. We are actually at a state where people outside the club have stopped caring/worrying about us, and we are closing in on that the guys inside the club (our fanbase) stop caring as well... I read plenty of stuff about our shit squad. But the problem is much more precious than that. We have a shit manager and as long as we have fresh owners we are stuck with the fucking dickhead who ruins the club...
We have arguably a better squad thna i.e. FC Copenhagen. But they have an identity and a good coach who have different refferences than what worked with Örebro and Halmstad, god forbid that I forget Neuchatel Xamax, in the 70s and 80s. He didnt have 13 world club players, including 3 world cup captains by the start of the season. However he didnt look for excuses either, he just focused on how he could get his limited squad to the knock out stages of CL. And he did.
Lets look at i.e Rosenborg in the 90s. Beating Milan away to reach the knock out stages in CL with 9 out of 11 players born in Trondheim Norway. Not a great squad, but decent enough when you play it to the strengths...
It is all about creating magic moments with what you got. Roy Hodgson took a squad good enough for ten times more than he has achieved with it, and all we get is stupid excuses... We are to clever to be held for fools Roy. It is unecessary to be as poor as we have been, and you have a very very very big say in that. A good manager make a decent squad perform well, while a shit manager ruins a decent squad... So fuck off.. Now.. Please.
