Mental note: never move to China.

Ha Ha ! Well many things are banned here (e.g. prostitution - however you can find brothels on virtually every street corner in the back of little hair dressing salons) although the reality is the Chinese don't give a fig about the law ! Any law !! There is always a back door.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Translation:

A minimum of 11 Premier League clubs watched Huseklepp sink France, but the Brann player doesn't care about it.

- It could be that some of them noticed me, but it's not something I think about. I don't waste any energy on that.

VG Nett (Norwegian newspaper) knows that 11 Premier League clubs had announced their arrival:
Liverpool etc. etc.

Btw I don't speak Norwegian but Swedish and Norwegian are mutually intelligible so I think I got the gist of it right. Danish however... 😉

He seemed to be playing as a striker last night. I was quite impressed - he had good movement and was involved in almost every Norwegian attack - but that's partly because he looks about 18. The fact that he's 25 and has only just been noticed is probably not a good sign.

I dont think this is anything but pure speculation.

He is a very unpredictable player, but in my eyes he lacks the ability to perform on the highest level (Norwegian league is definately not the highest level!!!)

He has also the bad habit of not scoring goals. His club is a big spender in Norway so he is a good squad. But he is wasting far to much of their chances. We have much better prospects over here.

BS speculation.

People said the same about Arshavin.

It is not that easy to get noticed from a poor league. If somebody scores 30-40 goals a season in Holland, people just say its a poor league. What more can a player do? It's not possible to score more than that no matter how poor the professional league is. Unless the player possesses some Maradona/Messi kind of skill, he is never going to be rated for doing statistically well in a shitty league.

His scoring stats are nothing like that good.

I was just extrapolating that to a prolific striker. Same applies to talented players. Arshavin did not score that many goals either. Poor League + poor national team means its hard to get noticed even if the player is actually good, unless they take a chance and move to a bigger league early on.

I have no idea what kind of a player he is, but i'm finding it hard to write him off just because he played in Norway till he turned 25.

I didn't mean it that bluntly. Watching him last night, I'd say he was talented but quite raw and erratic-looking. That's totally forgivable in an 18-year-old, but much more worrying in a 25-year-old. Of course, he *could* improve dramatically in a better league, but that seven-year difference instantly makes it a bigger gamble for whoever signs him.

The first time I saw Arshavin was the UEFA Cup semi-final, I think, and he oozed class. That's simply not the case with this kid.

Having just watched the two youtube clips a couple of posts above, i feel i'm fully qualified to pass a judgement.

His name is brilliant. It sounds like whosthecat! Thats a definite positive.

He seems to have great pace.....another positive.

Sign him up already!

Hoy! Don't call our league shite!! Kin'll!!

Regarding Huseklepp, late bloomer and all that and has taken gigantic steps these last few years. Can play on either wing or upfront. Great pace, very good movement and has a decent cross on him.

Good signing for a decent Premier League team, but not for us. Will move abroad sooner rather than later.
