I have always thought that the volume through an iPhone on headphones is pisspoor.
I recently picked up some B&O H8 headphones so was expecting the sound to be fucking EPIC out of those and way better than my Beats or Senheisers or any other set ive had, but it was just the same.
On the Mac its loud as fuck but on the phone it just seems crap.
Anyway ive fucked about with the volume settings loads, looked online loads and then always forget about it again for ages.
Anyway I was fucking about again earlier and in accessibilty found a setting called 'Sound Check' that I switched off on a whim, and fuck me like a 10% increase. Then I checked my EQ and noticed that sometime way back (Probably iPhone 3 or 4) ive set my EQ to Hip Hop because thats what I listen to most. I switched that off and it dropped a bit of base but probably added another 5 to 10% overall volume.
Its still not as good as the Mac and not as good as older iPods but its a mmmmmmarked improvement.
So there you go. If you listen to music on your phone try these and it really helps.
Any life hacks feel free to share.
