Yes we succeeded in making Bobby Zamora seem like Cristiano Ronaldo. I doubt whether the likes of Man City or Chelsea would have made him seem so terrifying.

Yeah . I got bored at halftime so went for a feet pedicure. You stick your feet into a bowl of fish and they eat the gunk off your feet. They are now all shiny and gorgeous looking. Highly recommended.

They'd need piranhas in my case.

Lets be fair, they played well, and after all the press shit this week about them you had to expect the crowd and players be up for it, but we managed to see them off. Happy to get the win.

Oh yeah and FIFTH!!!
Lets not go overboard on Mr Rodgers just yet. Were in the top 4 mix even without Suarez and Sturridge

Credit to Sterling aswell. Wins us the game in the 95th minute with that run and pass.
Its been a shite week for him with what has to be a lot of pressure.

And Coutinhos pass mind. Pure sex.

Enrique is irrelevant to this discussion. He is one of many problems but he is only second choice so we can deal with it at a later date

I just watched our 20million pound first choice defender get dominated by a 34?year old journeyman striker....
Yes, Lovren got owned but it didn't lead to any goals for QPR - close and there should have been 2 but they hit the cross bar or was cleared off the line.
Enrique was at fault for their first goal - steaming towards Vargas then not tracking him.

Thought Lovren was alright. What bothers me is how poor our clearances are. Always 20 yards on the ground and to the opposition. Puts us constantly under pressure.

Lovren is fucking shit.

No way he makes it here. Big test for Rodgers to see if he can admit the mistake.

I'm not hopeful.

He'll make it. And he's not shit. 2nd best CB in the league last season and now he's shite?

I think it's how we defend as a unit- disheveled. There is almost nobody to clean up the second ball and we're almost found as a clump in and around our box with nobody to close down attackers in possession of the second ball.

Lovren was shit poor. I could count at least 3 instances when his weak headers / weird positioning led to a QPR chance. It's becoming a trend - think west ham think villa, he's constantly owned. Lesser teams just use the old long ball to a target man with a runner feeding off nod ons 2nd balls and there is nothing we could do about it.

Just got off a plane, so missed the excitement. How did Can play? Was he at DM with Stevie further up ?

Don't suppose there are any highlights online yet?

Can was alright in CM...he played deeper but not sure if it can be called a DM role. I have far more confidence in him than Lucas to do that role.

Also him doing well is essential for Rodgers to start thinking past Stevie. When Lucas is the option its hard to criticize him too much for not dropping Stevie.

No vendetta mate, he's a good player playing in the wrong position, but today was a joke. Did I miss something? I thought he was lazily strolling away when the whole thing happened. Yeh I understand te kick was taken quickly, but that was a piss take.

You do realize not ONE of our players was in our box ... no one was paying any attention ... it was very smart play by Sterling & GlenJo that caught 19 players off guard (Mign was probably aware! 😛)

Look slow and laboured. Hopefully that's simply down to a lack of match fitness.

Hmm, maybe I'm being harsh then, but I'll reserve judgement until I've seen the highlights on motd! Maybe it's the way he just nonchalantly walked off with his back to goal for so long that have the impression. I get the feeling that a top striker would be looking for such things to happen, always buzzing around and working hard, harrying defenders In case the odd chance comes his way. He seemed the opposite today.

It's a fact baby, it's a fact.

No it isn't.

Balo you lazy sod. When the gal was scored he was walking away and not even watching the game. Sick

Yes, he had his back to the play as the (quick) free-kick was taken.

When the ball came in from Johnson and Dunne scored the own goal he was facing the ball.

I'm not defending him.

Just pointing out your inaccuracy.

Baby.

I stand corrected. You know what I meant goddamnit, but yep, he was indeed facing the ball. You can't say baby though, I have dibs on that shit.

In a game of very poor individual performances, I found it easy to overlook his mediocrity today for the same reason. 6 weeks out of action, and before that, he'd played only about 45 minutes in the other games I think. Was actually surprised he started the game.
