We really need to stop trying to fit Gerrard in and disrupt the pace/movement that worked well for us.

To me, it is far less of a damage to play him DM than play him further forward. We should start using him for 30+ mins and asking him to run and move more freely. There is no need to be conservative. It's not like he is going to have another 15 years of career.

Why the fuck are Carragher and Phillips saying thats a pen?? Johnson clearly hits the ball, it just comes straight back off their player falling so doesnt go anywhere.

Half Time review:

Can - good effort
Henderson - good effort, bad offside call
Sterling - good effort
GlenJo - good effort

Lallana - meh effort
Skittles - meh effort

The rest - poor

I wish I could say 'good performance' but so far, everyone is 4-5
 
I can only remember Henderson & Lallana winning any 50/50 balls that half.

That's pathetic.

We need to get stuck in. Gerrard needs to fight a bit more to get ahead of defenders so he can get the ball.

I can't blame ballotelli like many here cos I don't think it's his job to come get the ball to make chances, he's not suarez, he's not a striker that will drop back create his own chances, & I don't understand why so few people get that.

I didn't get that either. I was actually wondering whether they were talking about Mignolet going through the back of him without getting the ball just before the Johnson tackle in the end, cos otherwise I don't get it.

I'm in a weird mood the last month or so - quite happy with life, not really that upset about where this is seemingly going ... I hope they surprise me, and if they don't, I usually have you guys to make me smile! 😉

Yes he's had fuck all clear cut chances created for him and he cant do that himself, but...

He's had 3-4 opportunities to do something, play a ball in, take a half decent shot and he's done fuck all except that one ball to Gerrard.

He had that nice reverse ball played to him from Sterling, Lallana was there for a cross/pass but he fucked about and lost it, similar has happened a couple of times, then there was some shite shots.
 
great save from MIgn ... I do wonder why austin holds the ball on the edge of the box and not ONE PLAYER pressurizes him. Pretty poor again. No work ethic whatsoever.
