I can't remember ever feeling as negative about one of our players as I do about Downing.

Hes failed miserable. Never expected Downing to be our very own John Barnes but i did expect him to chip in with a decent number of assists and goals and provide us with much needed width.

He's been shite, if he's not passing the ball backwards, he's smacking the ball off defenders legs or he's putting the ball in row Z after yet another failed attempt on goal.

Im sure he's a nice lad and all that, but he needs selling.
