Before [Judge] Jordan dismissed the parties till tomorrow morning, first thing, attorney Stephen Fox, repping Hicks and Kop Holdings, told the judge that "our folks are aggressively working out an arrangement with RBS to take care of the debt." Meaning: Hicks and George Gillett would pay the close to $500 million owed and then look for someone other than NESV to buy the team. Jordan said, "I hope those talks continue," but said he needs more time to consider the UK judge's ruling before making a decision concerning yesterday's temporary restraining order. Steve Stodghill, repping Hicks and Gillett, told Unfair Park after the hearing that NESV and the Liverpool board have agreed to hold off on closing till tomorrow morning, around 8 a.m. Dallas time, when Jordan's expected to rule on the TRO. If Jordan lifts the TRO, sale's a done deal. But if Jordan doesn't, says Stodghill, "the ball's in the court of NESV, and they can decide if they want to attempt to close the transaction knowing they're in violation of the TRO. That's a decision they'll have to make."

I suppose they have been looking for the 300odd million for over a year now and haven't found a mug to hand them over the money, lets hope they are unable to do so in the next 15 odd hours.

Please dont worry lads. Seriously, Hicks has no power. He cant sell his shares without board approval which he wont get. And he cant block the sale anymore because he'll be in contempt. He's resorted to using a corrupt judge to try and stall enough to get John Henry to quit, but henry has turned up every day and stayed till the small hours to try and find a resolution, he doesnt look like the kind of man to give up.
Im sure NESV will own us by the weekend.
Hopefully that will be a good thing.

I just head an American sports journalist interviewed by Dotun Adebayo on BBC Radio 5 "Up All Night."

He was generally supportive to Liverpool's case and said that H & G did not deserve any success as they had "run Liverpool FC into the ground."

More to the point, he said that the fact that Judge Jordan had scheduled the hearing for the unusually early time of 7.00 a.m. looked like a big clue. He thought Jordan was now well-briefed on the situation and might be looking to get a helpful decision through to the Liverpool independent directors and RBS as soon as possible, i.e. around mid-day UK time.

He said he was expecting John Henry would be enjoying a few pints of Cains on Friday evening, which suggested he know Liverpool better than Dotun Adebayo!

Ha Cains. I like up all night, its the World Footy Phone-in on that, is good, as well as Dr Karl. Hopefully all Jordan owed Hicks was to hear the case, not influence his decision on the matter.

Hicks has already admitted that he hasnt sold his hres to Mills Financial; as for Macquarie Bank, I doubt they'd want to get involved in a messy lawsuit like this.
