Liverpool are targeting Schalke forward Leroy Sane having already had a £11million bid for him rejected last summer, according to reports.Although Brendan Rodgers invested heavily in his squad over the course of the summer, Liverpool are still lacking in specialist wide players.
And according to Bild, Liverpool are looking to rectify that situation with a move for Sane, despite having a £11m bid for him turned down in the summer transfer window.
Aged just 19, Sane has developed into a fan favourite at Schalke thanks to his pacy runs and trickery, and even scored on his Champions League debut at the Bernabeu last season.
Liverpool may return for Sane in January, although Schalke will be reluctant to sell, with the German youngster averaging a goal a start so far this season.
