We played poorly at the start of last season but managed to get a string of decent results. Maybe i'm wrong but I seem to remember us having the rub of the green on more than a few occasions in the early stages of the season. We all know just how much quality on and off the pitch is required to win the league, but a fair slice of luck never hurt anyone. I think that had we taken one of a few of our chances and sunk the first goal today, we would have won and won easily. Or had we had the same sort of luck that we enjoyed last season, we may have scraped at least a last minute equaliser as opposed to a late pen.
Every team goes through a rough patch or two during a season, but I feel that if we don't get quite the same luck that we had at the start of the season last year, we may be too far behind to catch up, once we do finally start performing.
