Kyrgiakos off to Wolfsburg

Liverpool FC this afternoon confirmed that Sotirios Kyrgiakos had left the club and joined Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg.

The Greek defender made 49 appearances for the Reds, scoring three goals, after signing from AEK Athens in August 2009.

So, is Cahill definitely coming then?

If we have someone else coming in this is probably for the best but on the whole he has done a decent enough job for us, provided back up when we needed it and as far as I'm aware has never complained about his squad role, so he should certainly leave with best wishes

That's fair enough. Some will disagree, but IMO he did enough for us to earn a free transfer this late in his career. Good luck to him.
