So if they gave us £13m for Dirk and £22m for Mascher.......... £35m?
I would have realistically valued the two of them at £40m at the start of the season, so with all this Mascher shite it's probably not bad as a combined figure, but it is just too late in the day. Dirk is a cunt for leaving it until now before opening his fucking mouth, and Mascher is a cunt for forcing the issue in the way he has.
I just hope we have new signings nailed on as and when and if the above deals happen.

Last year we could have bought Sneijder & Robben (both from Real Madrid) for almost the same amount of money that madrid gave us for Alonso.

This season it appears as if we could sell Kuyt & Mascher and buy Turan & Defour and also a healthy £10m profit - instead we'll end up with Konchesky & Diarra.

Hicks has set up a company called "Hicks Acquisition II" - this is all in the public domain - essentially it's a company which attracts investment in order to acquire and run other companies.

Now, I have no idea what Hicks plans to do with whatever investment capital he gets.. but to rule out the possibility of organising a refinancing or indeed a full take-over of Liverpool should not be ruled out.

We know how much he thinks Liverpool is worth. If he gets the price he wants, we all know he'll sell.

If he doesn't get the price he wants.. do you really think he'll just allow the banks to repossess his asset. Al the RBS care about is getting their loans repaid... I'd imagine they don't give a flying f**k who, how or where the money comes from.

Fucks sake... it doesn't take a genius to work out if the club isn't sold then going in to administration or behind taken over by RBS means the whole fucking board will probably be out of a job.

They all have something to loose.

I would have though Broughton's on a nice big fat bonus to get a sale through... and he'll get sweet fuck all if we go in to administration.

I hope we have a buyer... if we don't my money's on either re-fnancing or loan extension.

Anyway... the poiint is... we'll seel Kuyt & Masher... and spend next to fuck all replacing them.

Former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has refused to comment on a possible move by Inter Milan for Dirk Kuyt and Javier Mascherano.

The pair have both been linked with moves to the San Siro, with Kuyt's agent Rob Jansen claiming that talks between the Reds and the European champions are at an advanced stage.

Roy Hodgson, who managed the Italian giants twice during the 1990's, claims that Inter president Massimo Moratti has promised him that he will not raid Benitez's former club and also insisted that the Spaniard signed a deal which means he cannot do the same.

However, speaking ahead of his side's European Super Cup clash with Atletico Madrid, Benitez, who left the club in June via mutual consent, remained tight-lipped on the pair and insists that any transfer business is dealt with by Morratti and sporting director Marco Branca.

He said: "We have a technical director and a chairman who both have a very good relationship with Roy Hodgson so it's a problem for them.

"I will not talk about this because I am the coach. The coach cannot sign any players. It has to be the technical director and the chairman. The club can do it.

"I am the coach, not the manager."

Barcelona continue to remain favourites for Mascherano's signature but are reluctant to meet Liverpool's £25million valuation for the wantaway midfielder.
