Liverpool are in talks with Inter Milan over young right back Davide Santon .

And according to itasportpress, after an initial €10 million bid was rejected by Inter, Liverpool have now offered to throw in Ryan Babel and Dirk Kuyt as part of the deal.

19-year-old Santon is a multi-skilled full-back, who can also play on both flanks or in central midfield.

He is tall and strong, while also possessing good pace and excellent technical ability. He can use either foot to cross, pass and shoot.

He has already won six caps for Italy and is deemed a hot prospect for the national team.

Santon, who has also been linked with Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea, is contracted to Inter Milan until 2014.

Anyone who's first thought isn't "oh lord - another Dossena" isn't human

Probably the biggest full back prospect in the world. Equally good on both flanks. Would love us to sign him, fucking excellent. The two player swap deal swings it over in the never gonna happen category though.

Or more generally "another Italian player in the Prem". I know there have been exceptions, but the point is they WERE exceptions.

Babel + Kuyt is not worth it.

Either player + 10mil is also not worth it

A straight player swap or just 10mil then im all for it as this kid is class and has a great future in the game.

It was always going to be tough for Santon to break through in the Inter side - especially when you have Maicon and Zanetti who are able to play that position.

What I like about Santon is that he's a good mix between agility, skill, and physicality - he's not a one dimensional defender.

I don't think he'll make the move abroad.

Rumours doing the round are he's possibly off to Fiorentina - Casiraghi came out and said he should move there & I agree with that in regards to his development.
