He's only recently been "converted" to a support striker. Prior to that he's been a right sided midfielder who spent more than half of last year covering at right back.

I'd love it if we signed him - he'd be a serious upgrade on Kuyt for the right side and could even prove a mean wing-back (opposite Insua) if Rafa ever decided to go 3-5-2/3-4-3 regularly at home.

What ever happened to us apparently signing him?
i was watching dortmund vs stuttgart the other day and kuba impressed! he is really quick and good with the ball.
we should also look at:
- NURIH SAHIN and also that young CB they have SUBOTIC
when carragher retires he would be more than capable of filling his shoes! he is tall and strong and also good in the air, plus he knows how to pass and has a good presence in the box when they attack.
also HLEB is awesome, i wish we signed him on loan
