Klopp The Serial Loser ??

Tactics had little to do with the result. We failed to remain calm and respond when called upon. There were 40+ minutes to go and we barely troubled them.

He's boss and will lead us to glory. Loads of it aswell. From the Mirror:

Can Klopp turn them around?

You bet your life he believes he can. At the bar in the team hotel after the game, he called the entire squad together, and offered a rousing speech, which ended: “Two hours ago you all felt shit. Now hopefully you all feel better. This is just the start for us. We will play in many more finals.” He then conducted the players in a communal singalong, belting out at the top of his spectacularly out of tune voice: “We are Liverpool, tra la la la la…”

I am playing Devils Advocate mate.. He get credits where credit is due from me for the exact reasons you mentioned.. I am just opened the debate to see other thoughts..

incidently we didn't play Chelsea it was man City..
Whoops!

Both him and Durham are on about it now. Is Klopp a serial loser. Pair of fucking trolls.
It generates interest, callers and listeners.
Who cares?
Name a manu or Arsenal fan that wouldn't love to have Klopp in charge instead of their current managers.

I wouldn't swap Klopp for anyone. After achieving what he has this year, i would extend his contract now.

It's ridiculous that the guy who actually gets to five finals is labelled a serial loser.

What about all the managers who never even get that far?

OP is a bell.

This. Even the odd Everton fan (aren't they all, do I hear you say?) will tell you he'd have loved it if they'd signed Klopp to manage them.

Looking at the most successful Liverpool teams of the past, they had a leader at every stage in the spine. Clemence in goal - never stopped growling at the defence to up their game. Souness in midfield - a brilliant motivator and a terrifyingly fierce competitor. Dalglish up front - moaning, screaming and snarling at anyone who wasn't at the top of their form. Obviously those three are irreplaceable, but it's startling when you look at the spine of this team - Mignolet: about as dominant as a dishcloth; Hendo/Milner: not terrible, but neither is a strong enough presence; and Studge up front: he's a loner, not a leader. We do need to find players who'll bring some real steel to this team.

The only leader this squad has now is Klopp himself. I'm fascinated to see who he signs, some real figureheads in there and these bottlers might not bottle it so much. In BT's build-up to the match they had Gerrard on video link, a question was put to him that led to him talking about leaders in the dressing room. He mentioned that a lot had been said about what Liverpool had lost since Carragher and himself had left, but he was less than convincing in his answer on what leaders remained ("Henderson is captain, Milner is a good pro" was basically the gist of it.) I have to say though that the players we have signed/been linked to already (Signed: Grujic,Matip. Linked: Zielinski, Karius, Goetze) don't strike me as leaders either - so I hope that's not a complete recruitment list.

It needs pointing out that Klopp has lost two finals this year with someone else's team, but that he has also taken those teams to those finals in the first place. I'm quiffing a bit, as I'm sure someone else in the thread has already pointed out that they were bottling at the semi-final stage (if they got that far in the first place).

This next season should be interesting, especially as Klopp now no longer has the fixture pileup that was causing him issues at the beginning of his tenure. He's got time now to properly shape the squad and then the team's style of play, I'm excited to see what he does with it.

A bitter I know is disappointed with himself because he's been trying his best to hate Herr Klopp but just can't do it as he's so likeable.

And yet Utd finished above us in the league, will have the chance to play in the CL next season and could still end this one with a cup. After playing as horribly as they've done. That's just exasperating. And City are set nicely for Guardiola to commence his next 'challenge'.
