so everytime the CIC need to raise money they have to liquidated stock?
No. "The Times" today says they have more than £330 billion to spend on overseas acquisitions.
they have far more than that really. China also has 2 trillion of foreign reserves they can call on

The question is, instead of buying up the worlds resources, why would they want to buy a football club? doesn't make much sense
Prestige.
having one of the world's most recognisable footballing brands in your portfolio is a coup, they can then set about making it 'THE' most recognisable brands.

i remember flying into Shanghai from HongKong. i could read in one of the local papers (in english) that one area was buggered by a lot of carnappings. However the police had arrested five guys for the crime, and they were shot the following morning, so the saw they problem as solved......

Would this mean and end to criminals harrasing our players???

I don't know if it has been mentioned, but think of other potential Chinese companies lining up to sponsor Liverpool if the Chinese goes through.

c.f. Sinopec, Geely, Lenovo, China National Petroleum, Agricultural Bank of China, Hutchison Whampoa, Bank of China, Petrochina, Cathay Pacific.

You would imagin they had some close links to some of the organisations they already invest in also, that might be able to match up the companies with LFC be good to help get the stadium done.

Yeah. The sale will really open up a whole new boatload of opportunities.

Get it done Broughton!

I'd imagine Broughton wouldn't mind forging cordial relations with CIC while he's at it.

It must be a tricky situation for Broughton, a no brainer, China vs Syrian footballer. Trouble is i am sure that even though CIC must be the very biggest fish in the financial world Broughton was put in place by the yanks and regardless of what he says for them to leave not having made any profit will not be to his personal advantage . Despite that having links to basically the entire worlds piggy Bank musa be somewhat of a consolation. I really hope it goes through, it would assure the clubs position at the top table of football. I only wish Huang would increase the BID to heló the sale through and get rid of the yanks without acrimomy or litigation.

And on a further note , i cant be arsed about Chinas human rights record, noone seems to mention the US human rights record or the governments in the middle east do they? It would be really nice if we all lived in a greed free gun free utopia without money sharing fairly as we went but we fucking dont. I have got no problem with China at all.

As for being well funded and well run with a cool new stadium ( you can imagine how great that might be!) heavily promoted and commercially succesful..... Fucking hell.... It would be a sweet end to what has been a nightmare, the only posible scenario i can imagine would be better would be King Kenny himself discovering he is in fact a multi multi billionaie and buying the club for the fans as a thankyou for their lifelong support.

Broughton was indeed appointed by the owners, but you can bet your boots that he wouldn't have been if the banks hadn't wanted it. He also has a legal duty to act in the best interests of the club by virtue of having accepted the appointment in the first place, as he himself has publicly pointed out. He would have far more to lose than to gain from acting as H and G's patsy.
