We have 3 top forwards in Kuyt, Suarez and Carroll, a 4th would be nice but not essential at present. If we can shift N'Gog and bring in someone like Maynard (from Bristol City) for £3.5m as cover that would do. Either that or shift N'Gog and start the season with 3 forwards and we can always sign someone in January if we get injuries.

Like all good Championship players you can't be 100% sure until you see how they handle the step up in grade but I'd be 80% sure he'd be a better option than N'Gog and given that we'll probably get more than £4m for N'Gog it seems a no-brainer to me.
Maynard only has one year left on his contract and is refusing to sign a new one - otherwise he'd cost at least £5m. He's similar in style to Jermaine Defoe which would also give us a different option.
