How long should it be before they get first team action?

If they're good enough for the Championship, then they must surely be pushing for a place next season.

Rafa has tried this tactic of buying the cream of youth talent from around Europe for years now and what have we got to show for it?? Fuck all. We've plucked lads from Barca and Real Madrid and yet they cannot get in the team.

If they are good enough then they are definitely old enough. How many top players only break through after 20?

What we want is the next Gerrard, Rooney, Owen, Fabregas, and how old were all those when they made their debuts?

The fact that they haven't come through would suggest that they weren't the cream of of youth talent.

we tried to sign james McCarthy and he said no..

Apparently we offered him a lot and spent a lot of time showing him around the club trying to get him to sign.

He wanted to wait for a small club.. He said he wanted to stay at Hamiltons for another year and he has made the right decision signing with Wigan. He wouldnt stand a chance of getting a game here. Rafa is far too cautious and Lucas would be well ahead of him in the pecking order.

He had other large teams offering him loads of money..

i dont think anyone at the club could have done anything different to get him to sign.. other than kidnapping his pet dog Jessie and threatening to drown it and put the video on YouTube.
