he's a striker who plays every game. how many times has johnson even played?. he is nowhere fucking near as talented as adam johnson.

Last 2 seasons Dempsey has played 88 games and Johnson 81.
He's a winger/ attacking midfielder deployed behind the striker.

has anyone here actually seen allen play a few times , and i don't mean just on 'match of the day' . Where does he normally play because in this England and Wales team he pretty much looks like a defensive midfielder or at the very least a very deep playmaker . IF he signed for us , where would he play ?
he does look very neat and tidy and can obviously keep possession but that's pretty much what henderson does .The question is can he do more and contribute in proper attacking areas like say Xavi , iniesta or pirlo (other players known for keeping possession) can .

Adam Johnson is wank. he's a match of the day type player. great in highlights, but if you watch him over 90 mins is a lazy bastard, doesn't track back and can be anonymous all match when things don't go right for him. he'll have one good game in five. mancini said that Johnson has immense talent but doesn't seem to want to work hard on it to improve. he expects more consistency from Johnson but he doesn't make enough effort. city fans have wanted rid of him for ages.
i got to watch him for a couple of months while working in swansea on a project. guys i was working with were season ticket holders so i went to a few games. he is a good player but still a raw talent as he still has things he needs to work on. but he's easily better than all our midfield apart from Lucas and gerrard and will get better. doesn't lose the ball often, loads of stamina but does more forward passing than Henderson easily. i would love him at Liverpool.
Alot of wingers are like that though Glen. People have fairly tarnished views of Barnes, he could also be incredibly infuriating at times - and lazy, but he was capable of magic, so you took the rough with the smooth. I think Johnson STILL has the capability to be a top player, he's still young, he needs work and he needs games. As for the City fans wanting rid of him, alot I speak to seem to love him, but it's also fairly easy to be dismissive when you've got an attack that consists of players such as Nasri, Silva, Aguero, Dzeko, Balotelli, Tevez, etc.. who wouldn't be fussed with that lot to choose from?

he needs a lot of games and a lot of work. I can't see BR wanting him though. So far all the players he has targetted are players who all work VERY hard for the team, that's not johnson at all. Then there's the price city would want and his wages, he's just not worth it IMO.
Let's buy Leon Britton then.
