Such a deal over a 4 year contract would workout around a 60m(and 1 pound) outlay.
Which is the equivalent to offering him a straight 4 year contract (circa 300k) a week deal. (hell, make it 45m, for an additional 5m signing on fee).
There won't be a bidding war, they will have a price the first club to match it has agreed terms, nobody else needs to go above it. Worst case scenario we force other clubs to act before they had planned and he goes to City anyway, best case the interest from City isnt real and we are in pole position to sign him.

Over the past few windows i have kind of wondered how far we, as a forum could take a total bullshit transfer by perpetuating it on other forums and twitter.
I do recall at some point a long time ago I started a thread saying that I had genuine insider information and that I supplied the mods with photo evidence of my contact to give me extra credibility.
I can't even remember the bullshit I made up but it did get reported on a few other Liverpool sites and I think it brought a few new posters to SCM.
It outed Paddy as well in whatever his guise at the time was.
I reckon with a bit of effort we could get some traction on a wider scale.

I never said they were ordinary, your internet must be broken. Clearly not guaranteed world class purchases though were they? Salah’s flunked before, most people thought Mane was a risk and no other team’s would pay what we did for VVD. He’s played 1 ‘big club’ game in his career.
When was the last time we bought an already world class player? We've not done so for years and years.
