"It's complicated"? -- No it isn't, fuck off Barca - £113 Million bid rejected

IMG_5285.JPG

Take a note for me Darling, I want to use the word 'somnambulent' more often.

It was surely more a case of him not being able to integrate himself into the first team squad. He has talent, undoubtedly, but he slumped into a rut where falling over a lot and trying promising tricks very slowly, combined with a somnambulant approach to training, meant he was hardly demanding a place. Of course, he's grown a bit now, acquired a bit more strength and a lot more experience, so he's a better player, but it's not as if the club failed him.
I agree, ultimately he chose to leave and not sign a new contract.
Would he have devoloped to the player he is today at LFC? Hard to say, but there was promise and Sterling leaving would have opened up a spot for him.

It may be that Barca feel they need to make a major signing to placate their fans. Real seem to be acquiring very good quality whilst Barca have been relatively quiet and the loss of Neymar will be keenly felt. They do need to replace Iniesta too (Keita or Eriksen next Summer) ?

The issue for them is that if M'Bappe or players at that level are a target next Summer, since not available this, then paying £135m for Coutinho will skyrocket their fees too. The sale of Neymar has fucked them on multiple levels.

I doubt he would have devolved any further.

We should start a "what to do with the money Barca pays us" thread.
I vote buying like 10 of the best 16-19 year old players in the world and creating an u21 super team.

Decided off who had the highest potential on Fifa 18 crossed reference with FM wonderkid status.

Obviously we'd be mad to sell Coutinho for any price BUT if our hand is forced i.e. he hands in a transfer request and refuses to play, I'd be happy enough if we could manufacture a situation that we end up "swapping" him for Dybala with a £40m profit i.e. we sell Coutinho for £140 and buy Dybala for £100m.

Dybala was supposed to be Barcelonas first choice though, if that was true theres no way we're prying him away

There is absolutely no point selling him. The money being offered is outrageous, but that's only because everyone is minted now and the price has inflated. We don't need the money. And even if we did take it, we'd probably only splurge half of it on a load of donkeys anyway. Do not sell, no matter what.

There aren't that many minted clubs so far as being able to offer plus 100m.

Don't want him to go but if he dies at least we will get a great fee.

The sad thing is, we probably knew the fee the whole summer and have been trying to sign VVD and Keita for it only to fail.

lol so because he has a back injury that means its all a lie and he's leaving? He could actually just a back injury and klopp isn't wanting to risk him with lallana injured.
