What's the story with Gerrard and a possible two game ban due to an accumulation of yellow cards? Isn't there an amnesty this late in the season? Also isn't two games a bit extreme?

Where did this originate? So many questions, so little matches left.

If true, how should we tackle it? No pun intended.

If he gets 10 yellow cards (currently on 9) before a certain date in April, he missed two games, if he gets it after that certain date, he misses one.

Talk about walking a tightrope.

Remember Beckham pulled a shirt in an international game so he'd miss the next game against Wales or Azerbaijan? Gerrard needs to do some tactical fouling and try get his suspension out of the way against Norwich.

I think you are wrong. I think the number increases to 15 after the 2nd of April. So it is extremely important he doesn't get booked before 2nd of April. Maybe he should not start against Sunderland?

Think this started off being discussed in the Gerrard thread but somehow turned into a debate about his pace and the Rooney goal / Shmiechel as a pundit.

If we're going to be cynical, he should pick up a yellow against Sunderland on Wednesday and miss Spurs (h) and West Ham (a). Then we'll have him back for City and Chelsea.

If he is cynical and get booked against Sunderland, he should get another booking and serve a one match ban and be back for West Ham (a)

Cant get booked in the next 4 games, if he does its a 2 match ban.
After the second week of April he's fine.

With 7 bookings in his last 10 games he'll get a yellow in one of the next games....

Mystic, I want proof. PROOF.

Your wish is my command. Concrete proof this.

The booking against Cardiff was pathetic by the ref. Giving him a yellow after 2 minutes for a clear free-kick, but nothing more than that.

This is all too much for me. He won't get booked agaisnt sunderland. He'll be subbed on the hour when we're three nil up.

Nah. He'll be just as aware of this & so will Rodgers. They'll leave him in the pitch until he gets a yellow then take him off.

He would be mad not to get it vs Sunderland. I do want Lucas to start the game though so maybe if Stevie comes on in the 2nd half he will know he needs to get a yellow. That would be quite funny to watch.

David - did you just start this thread cos you'd thought of an imaginative threat title and wanted to show it off?

Be honest now.

No I worked backwards. I wanted to create a thread on the subject and then the title sprang to mind.

Do you know how I know you're gay? You like Coldplay.

I hate Coldplay and always have done. Am I missing something here??

Hey Dreamy, Lucas is gonna play soon. Kinda shoots your "he won't play for the rest of the season" line apart.
Well if you bothered to read my posts before you replied in that thread I said of course he'll play but you were to busy sniping back to see that.
And he hasn't started yet although I can see him starting weds or Sundays game.

The ref was shite in general, thankfully didn't matter too much to us.

Are you a time traveller Fallon? The ref was shite? Didn't matter? I was taking about the Sunderland game that didn't happen yet.

What's the future like? Does Leo Di Caprio win an Oscar?
