In Norwegian papers today Inter is said to have been in contact with Benitez agent to offer him a contract.

Moratti is quoted saying:" He is definately one of the best managers around, but he is under contract with another club".

So could Benitez release a fee from Inter, and hopefully bring Lucas with him and in that way establish a transfer kitty for our next manager?? 😉

Well, at least it would give us something to talk about1!!

if rafa goes the liverpool board should definately hire someone from 6CM. My vote would be for ros as he seems to think the liverpool job is a piece of piss. with ros in charge we'd canter to the league.

I'd vote for you bren. you'd always do the obvious, you'd drop the shit players and have no favorites, they'd also be the added bonus of no pre match predictions as you'd be coaching the side 🙂

Fantastic news!
Moratti might use the 8M Euros he got for Mourinho to lure Rafa.

Dalglish would do better than what Rafa did last season...

seconded. need a bit of harsh, non-pc ass kicking to get the house in order. give the youths a go

I'd love us to get our hands on Pellegrini if Rafa leaves.

Best win percentage ever for Real and gets fired. No thropies, but still. Would be a very good manager for us.

Pellegrini got overpromoted, and Real were right to sack him, given the availability of Mourinho

He's far from ideal, being old and unable to speak English, but given we've been lauding the 'acheivements' of McCleish, Hodgeson and O'Neill, it's not as stupid as you make out.

Cue some more shit 'put downs' from Grjt.

I'd love to engage in some put downs, but read what youve already put - "He's far from ideal, being old and unable to speak English BUT......".. What. The. Fuck.

My choice is Jock Stein - he's far from ideal, being dead, and unlikely to make it to Anfield for the interview, etc, BUT.....

Oh so predictable.

I would hope so my friend...

Poster makes completely shit recommendation > other poster points out that this is a shit recommendation > boring dullard pathetically fails to support original recommendation > poster highlights that even the other poster himself has highlighted the fatal flaws > dullard is still dullard = SIXCRAZYMINUTES!

Yay.

Please, do tell me who you want to take over if Rafa walks? Oh, and try not to be to funny.

Pelligrini did a fantastic job at Villarreal and managed to get La Liga's second highest ever points tally with Madrid last season - bettered only by Barca in the same season.

He may not be the most ideal candidate, but the way grjt is going on anyone would think we're talking about Tony Mowbray. He's a good manager.

He's actually only 3 years older than Rafa.

He looks way older than 53.
We don't need him to play left wing anyway, I couldn't give a fuck if he's old, once he knows his shit.
