I don't quite understand this logic.

It's part of a well worn development strategy - but good players young and loan them out to teams that will give them first team exposure until they reach the stage that they can impact our first team or be sold for profit.

We've been shit at it and it's something we should be much better at.

I think they are a Chelsea type investment, Buy... loan out... Develop player... Sell for a profit...

I think that will work in the case of Alberto more than Ilori. I wrekon Alberto will have a boss season for Malaga

I don't think that was the intention though otherwise Alberto would have been loaned out last season. He stayed here for a season, integrated into the academy/ melwood to understand 'The Liverpool Way' and I think is looked at as one to keep in the future.
