[article]As per the Sunday Express, Real Madrid are “ready to accept” just 21 million pounds to part ways with the Belgian, now 30 years old, as they look to trim their squad ahead of future investment[/article]

Would anyone else be willing to pay 21 million quid for Hazard?
Yes, he's 30 ... yes, he's been shit for 3 years but he was fucking unreal beforehand, and with the right group and fitness boost, he could be a great addition to our team ...

Everyday is beginning to feel like April 1st.

We don't need a tubby merc who's past his best, we don't need a speed merchant who can't cross, we don't need Barca rejects/returns who are crocked more often than not. We need to pay the Egyptian king what he's bloody worth!

NO! A) He is 300k plus a week b) He is 30, and likely to be even slower and getting worse c) he'd probably want a 3-4 year contract
Move on! Klopp has his targets and it's likely its someone we haven't considered too much. One of those under the radar players

He literally got his dream move: playing for Real Madrid with his hero, Zidane, at the helm and he turned up comically overweight and playing like a twat.
How the fuck are we supposed to believe he'd be any better here?

Hard no!

If we can't afford to pay the best player in the world £300k a week to extend his contract then there is fuck all chance we are chipping £300k a week into this tubby bitch's retirement fund
Exactly this.

I don't want him either. But why is there always an assumption that current wages have to be met? He has been paid top whack for the prime years of his career. At some point he will move to £0 per week, so why would it be impossible for him to move to a club on a lesser salary in the meantime?

It's not £300k though. Rumour has it he wants a basic of between 4 and 500k, the club had offered 375k

This is another reason WHY WE SHOULD give Salah a new contract. Hazard has bags of talent but its well known he has a poor attitude to training and it looks like he has issues with maintaining diet and injury record issues. Compare that with Salah who is rarely injured, takes care of himself on and off the pitch. Why are we even waiting? Just give the man his dues...

Has Klopp stated he wants to open some Victorian-era reform school or something as a part of the new training ground? Why are respected posters suggesting signings like Adama and Hazard?

We reached this point by avoiding signings like these - washed-up players on huge wages whose attitude to training and fitness is questionable at best.

Mane, Salah, VVD, Jota, Robertson, Allison - stick to that template. Players who are undervalued, have the right mentality, have great technical and physical skillsets, and can rapidly increase their contribution in the right environment. We would probably be able to get Sarr at one-third of Hazard's wages.

Didn't know re: "poor trainer" - unreal how much quality he gave Chelsea considering that ...
Bad suggestion - I just he went south along with the club!
I’ve read it loads that he’s just not arsed and minimal effort but at Chelsea would turn it on when the game came. He’s just that talented. But now 30 odd he can’t coast like that.

He isn’t part of the answer to the main men up front all being around 30 question. I’d be surprised if a single poster on here would take him unless he’s playing for peanuts and on a free or something daft like that.

He's the third best player I've ever seen at Anfield in the flesh after Suarez and Gerrard (I've not been to see Salah in the last couple seasons tbf)

He used to be insanely good. Could he do it here? He's the same age as Mane, worse fitness record, less goals scored, but if he came for next to nothing in fees and wages we'd be mad not to consider it. The if is huge though

Guess I’m out of the loop - I didn’t know he has such a bad rep. I’m still genuinely surprised by how things went down at Real... you forget he even exists now.

What a player though at his best. I always remember watching Belgium a couple times just before his Real move and noticing how De Bruyne of all players looked a level or two below him.

Yea he was a fantastic player, i was desperate to see him leave Chelsea thinking it would be a catastrophic blow. Turns out it looks like they cashed in at the perfect time.
