I still like Sissoko quite a lot, because I hate how his earlier great performances in his Liverpool career have become forgotten about by many.

Biscan? Nah. We've indulged in too many shit footballers in the last twenty years, and he's just another one of those.

I liked Igor, especially when he was on the bench.
I liked Smicer too, and plenty of other shit players we've had with character.
I don't know how Heskey is being lumped in with the shite though. He was unplayable for 18months and the perfect foil for Owen, and if Houllier hadn't tried to reinvent the wheel and shunt Heskey out on the wing we may have done a lot better than we did in the periods when Diouf or Litmanen or a half fit Fowler lumbering about up front. Not a great player, not a great goalscorer but a very good offensive weapon and as I said perfect partner for Owen.

The other thing about Emile was that he never gave less than 100%. I've always liked players like Heskey, Scholes, Reina, Given, etc......top professional footballers who don't court the limelight, set a decent example of on-field behaviour for the wtching kids and who realise that off the pitch they have responsibilities too i.e. not to make a tit of yourself in public.

He's Rooney's preferred partner, Capello rates him as does Martin O'Neill. Houllier and Ericcson were also fans of his - he must be doing something right Squig.

Recently he has been, yes.
