Ibe to Bournemouth for 15 mill £

Doubtful for a couple reasons:
1) Borini wanted to prove that he had a future at a big club
2) Ibe has long been rumoured to have fallen out with Klopp

Didnt he sign a new contract, must be on decent mony, even for bourrnemouth

Dimitri Payet cost West Ham £10.7 million last June. 😵

That said, the fee can almost be paid off from Bournemouth's sales of Matt Richie & Lee Tomlin to Championship clubs.

Liverpool FC negotiate buy-back and sell-on clauses in Jordon Ibe deal

Liverpool have negotiated both buy-back and sell-on clauses in the £15million deal they have struck with Bournemouth for Jordon Ibe .
The 20-year-old winger has been given permission to hold talks with the South Coast outfit after the Reds accepted the Cherries’ offer.
Ibe must decide whether to head for Bournemouth in search of regular first-team football or stay and fight for his place at Anfield.
Liverpool, who would have to pay around 15% of any fee to his former club Wycombe Wanderers, believe the bid was too good to turn down for a player who is unlikely to command a starting spot in Jurgen Klopp’s side this season.
The Reds have also covered themselves in the event of Ibe blossoming significantly over the coming years with an option to buy him back or a share of any future transfer fee.
Ibe’s future at Anfield has looked increasingly uncertain after a disappointing 2015/16 campaign.

Tipped to fill the void created by Raheem Sterling’s £49million move to Manchester City, Ibe struggled for form and fell out of favour following Jurgen Klopp’s appointment.
The England Under-21s international has made 58 appearances for Liverpool since his arrival from Wycombe Wanderers in the summer of 2011.
He was handed his debut by Brendan Rodgers on the final day of the 2012/13 season before going out on loan to Birmingham City and Derby County.
Ibe shone in the second half of the 2014/15 season, earning himself a lucrative new five-year contract last summer. But he regressed last term and failed to prove to Klopp he should command a place in his long-term plans.

PAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA.

What?

Oh they've actually bidded £15m for him? there's me thinking our committee were fucked...

Just got reminded that Bournemouth paid £8 million for Tyrone Mings (1 season of regular Championship football), £12 million for Benik Afobe and £3 million for Callum Wilson (1 season of League 1 football).

Also about to spend £6 million on Lewis Cook (last season's Football League Young Player Of The Year Year Award).

Thankfully, it's £15 million + clauses.

I know there'll be some gnashing of the teeth over this, but let's face it - this kid couldnt get near a game for a side that finished 8th last year.

We need infinitely better if we're to properly compete.
Yep. I don't think he's going to make it and he won't play if he stays so this is a no brainer. Excellent deal for us.

Ibe is a strange one.

After watching him out here in Australia I thought he was going to be better than Sterling and make it big.

He made all the right noises, extra training sessions, asking for advice from Kenny, passionate about the club.

Unfortunately all that is useless if you don't deliver on the pitch.

He got a lot of chances last year and bar a couple of moments didn't really take them.

I still think with regular football week in week out without the pressure of being at a big club where you are expected to win every game he will flourish.

For 15M we have to sell but a buy back clause and a hefty sell on clause is a must.

I hope he does well, he's never come across as a cock like Sterling for instance.

any updates here?

From the Echo today:

Jordon Ibe missed the friendly victory over Tranmere on Friday night after being given permission by the Reds to travel to the South Coast to hold talks with Bournemouth. A £15million fee between the clubs has already been agreed.

Think he's maybe waiting to see if anyone else comes in for him aswell before he decides to join them.

Liverpool winger Jordon Ibe is on the brink of completing a £15million move to Bournemouth.
The England Under-21s international has agreed personal terms with the South Coast outfit and the deal is expected to go through later this week.
The ECHO understands that Ibe said his goodbyes to team-mates and staff at Melwood today after accepting the opportunity to sign for Eddie Howe’s men.
Ibe’s future at Anfield had looked increasingly uncertain after a disappointing 2015/16 campaign.

Tipped to fill the void created by Raheem Sterling’s move to Manchester City, the former Wycombe Wanderers youngster struggled for form and was unable to hold down a regular starting spot.
There were flashes of brilliance like the winner away to Rubin Kazan and the stunning equaliser at West Brom on the final day of the season.

However, he was dogged by inconsistency and failed to convince Klopp that he merited a place in his long-term plans. Rather than keep Ibe as a squad player Liverpool decided to cash in.
The 20-year-old made 58 appearances for Liverpool following his arrival from Wycombe in the summer of 2011. He was handed his senior debut by Brendan Rodgers on the final day of the 2012/13 season.

Good luck to him. I think he always had the right attitude but I think he lacked confidence in his own ability at times, which started to dog him and his form. There's a good player in there though.

Sad to see him go, at one point I though he'd be better than Sterling.

I think we all hoped he would be. Despite his obvious talent, he's just not kicked on since the way was cleared a bit by Sterling's move.

I'll shift all my Ibe hopes and expectations onto Sheyi Ojo now, let the cycle continue (although, he does seem to have shown glimpses of the right mix of application and talent to make it...)

Great deal all round for club and player. Agree with others, the talent is there, but husconfidence was shot to pieces.

Sheyi Ojo set up both goals as England U19s got their European Championship campaign off to a winning start by beating France 2-1 on Tuesday night.

In just the third minute of the Group B clash in Germany, the Liverpool winger’s testing cross into the middle forced an own goal to put his side ahead.
A pass from Ojo then released Dominic Solanke in the ninth minute to race clear and coolly slot past the goalkeeper, doubling the early advantage.
The French responded shortly after the half-hour mark through Jean-Kevin Augustin, but Aidy Boothroyd’s young England team preserved the victory.
Ojo, who was withdrawn on 65 minutes, will now hope to be involved in England’s second game of the tournament – against the Netherlands on Friday

Ojo and Ibe is the same type of players. The main difference between the two is that Ojo have much better game intelligence. He know when to make a pass and when he should keep the ball. Ibe makes the wrong decision over and over again.

I think that Ojo will be a starting XI player for us the 2017-18 season. I would compere him to a young Gareth Bale.
