I wanNaby (Under the sea in an Octopus's Garden in the Shade) - Deal Confirmed

I think Kante has showed just how crucial a dynamic and clever player at the base of midfield can be. He was the only notable addition to a Chelsea team that floundered the year before. Whilst there is no doubt that a number of their players gave up on Maureen, he has been a revelation. Naby's coach said during the season that it would take a bid in the Pogba range to prise him away. Of course, this is the kind of posturing and hyperbole to be expected from a coach who wants to keep his best players, but there is no doubt that we could really use precisely the attributes that he will bring. Is he worth 60million? I really don't know, but I want him to be worth that.

In our case, "successful" transfers follow this pattern:

The selling club sets a fee. We offer a figure well below that, and after several weeks of haggling we pay what the selling club asks for.

Not the greatest time to suggest this given we knocked 10 mill € of the Salah fee.

Echo also saying that Leipzig want 80 million euros. Apparently, they'll sell only for a Bundesliga transfer record. Current record is De Bruyne, who went for 75 million euros.

I don't think this is happening.

Not sure with this....

If Salah is 35 ish with what he scored etc then how can a nobody in the game be worth 60???
He's hardly a "nobody". He's just had an excellent breakout season in a Top Bundesliga side at 21/22 years of age, and seemingly in a fashion that makes him a potential unusual all action superstar in central midfield.

I'd be surprised if all the top sides aren't keeping tabs on him.

It would be interesting to see how his stats compare to other top European CMs.

Liverpool will have to make Naby Keita the second most expensive signing in Premier League history if they are going to secure his services this summer.
The Reds face a real battle to land one of Jurgen Klopp's top transfer targets with RB Leipzig determined to hold on to the Guinea international.
Reports in Germany suggest that the Bundesliga outfit hope to scare off interest by valuing Keita at 80million Euros (£70million).
The only time a Premier League club has paid out more than that was Manchester United's £89million swoop for Paul Pogba from Juventus last summer.
Leipzig sporting director Ralf Rangnick has always insisted Keita, who is under contract until 2020, isn't for sale and a club which is bankrolled by energy drink giant Red Bull doesn't need the money.
It remains to be seen whether Liverpool are prepared to bid that high for the 22-year-old midfielder, who cost Leipzig just £12.75million from Salzburg last summer.

The Reds, who had previously hoped to land Keita for around £45million to £50million, must decide whether to test Leipzig's resolve with a club record offer or pursue other targets.
Liverpool know there is a 55milion Euros (£48million) release clause in Keita's contract which comes into effect in the summer of 2018.
However, there's no doubt that Klopp would rather sign Keita this summer than wait a further 12 months.

The dynamic box to box midfielder scored eight goals and contributed eight assists in 31 league appearances for Leipzig last season.

Hes hardly a somebody either

This amount of money on someone whos had 1 season of decent football seems risky to me

18. Monaco - €148m
19. Copenhagen - €138m
20. Schalke 04 - €137m

Top of the list is Manchester United with a net debt of 536 million euros. United are one of the three so-called 'superclubs who have the most net debt on the continent. The other two are Paris Saint-Germain with 186 mililon euros of debt and Liverpool, with 163 million.
The presence of four Italian clubs in the top 10 places - Inter Milan are third, AC Milanare sixth, Juventus in ninth and Roma in 10th is also telling about the financial situation of Europe's top sides.
As the Uefa report highlights, the level of debt should be viewed alongside revenue and long-term assets - an area of notable strength for United.
While the value of the Manchester club's debt is roughly equal to its annual revenue and only 80 per cent of assets, of more concern are clubs like QPR (480 per cent of assets and 250 per cent of revenue) and Fenerbahce (610 per cent of assets).

Indeed but considering Utd overtook Madrid as the most profitable club last year they can afford it

Kante cost half that 12 months ago. After proving himself to be an excel DM. In England. For the fucking champions. Get to fuck with 60 or 70 million.
