I wanNaby (Under the sea in an Octopus's Garden in the Shade) - Deal Confirmed

Every club has its share of transfer misfortunes. The Mancs also lost transfers under Ferguson. But often those loses occurred because they were competing for players who were coveted by top clubs in Europe. But given their financial clout, they more than often were able to outbid other clubs and get their targets.

The only time they appeared to dither was when Ferguson and Gill left. Moyes had no clue on how to run a big club and Woodward was learning his ropes. Now with Woodward gaining experience, they are getting their targets at a higher rate. Even if they don't get their first target, they appear to quickly move to the second. Greasing the pockets of Raiola and Mendes also helps their case.

The problem with us is not the lack of spending. We seem to find new ways to fuck up the transfer windows due to self-imposed rules either by the manager or the committee. It was criminal not to buy reinforcements in January which would have guaranteed us third if the signings were good.

We just seem to plan for a future which will never come. No value in January market so let us move to summer. Now in summer, we have found a fairly innovative way to screw up the VVD transfer. Either complete the transfer or move on to our second targets. Yes, maybe there are not many available central defenders around who are better than Lovren and VVD is the only one that fits the profile. If we cannot wrap up VVD then can't we at least find a defender who is better than Klavan.

Klavan is going to play a reasonable number of games next season which is not ideal. Maybe we can help our next season's campaign for top 4 by demoting him to the fourth choice?

TBF I don't need reports to tell me Utd are struggling to get top tier players.

However, I also know, that unlike us, even if their owners are risk averse they have enough cold hard cash to swing a couple of first team players before the season starts, such is the vast difference in their revenue (even including the vast difference in their debt).

It's a shitty market, with ludicrous prices. Thing is though, the TV money driving the increase in player fees demanded when an English club gets involved isn't going to go away anytime soon, so you either shit, or get off the pot.

I'd prefer to shit, thank you very much.

The Uniteds owners hard cash comes from loading the club with debt and use that cash to but the club... the player investments comes from the turnover which is high due to the number of idiots buying all kind of pudding with the badge on.

I think Woland called this saga correctly. Once we qualify for the CL, we will drop the cash.

Has the bellend even handed in a transfer request? No. Hanging on for a bonus. Cant mean that much to him then. Cunt.

I can almost hear the firm squirming as they move the goalposts on their past predictions.

And now Chelsea are going to snatch Danny Drinkwater from our grasp, according to Sky sports News. Fuck the lizards

He's been shite since Kante left so will probably do well there but I doubt he would be an improvement on our current players, certainly not what we need.

Have they not signed Bakayoko (sp)?
If they did, Drinkwater will probably only play League cup and maybe FA cup games.

Danny fucking Drinkwater ffs. The only reason for other clubs showing interest in him is because we have. Same shit happened with Charlie Adam etc and we know what that led to.

Why are we not linked to more German young CM's I mean surely there must be some decent ones about for a reasonable price....

either that or the French market seems to be a good bet now again.
