I`LL BE BACK - JOSE MOURINHO
Posted 29/12/09 08:00EmailPrintSave

Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has reiterated his desire to work in the Premier League again.

Mourinho, who watched Chelsea's win over Fulham yesterday ahead of the Champions League clash with his Inter Milan side, said: "I want to be back. I'm not the kind of guy to keep his feelings hidden.

"I have always said the same - I love it here, I love it here, I love it here."

However, the 46-year-old added in The Lying Rag: "I don't leave any club mid-season to go to another. So, until the end of the season there's no chance that I will leave Inter.

"I was very successful so it is normal that other clubs here will want me.

"I won two titles with Porto, two with Chelsea and now I want to make it two, plus two, plus two by winning it again with Inter. That would be special.

"But yes, I believe I will be back one day."

I don't know so much Foxy, Jose is a bit of a complex character, and a bit of a Maverick, I am not sure if he would be naturally drawn to United.
Also if he went there Fergie is a pretty hard act to follow and there is only one way you can go.
We would be more of a challenge, and if he failed he can blame what he inherited, like they all do

regards

Yeah, I agree partly, & that fact, along with his admiration for both Shankly & Paisley, & the fact he's admitted great fondness for Liverpool when younger is what are keeping a slight flicker of hope alive.

While still not convinced that Jose would be the answer to all our prayers, the fact that him being Liverpool manager would mightily piss off Chelsea fans, would be quite the silver lining.

I'm pretty sure he's told the press directly that he'd like to manage Utd.

I don't think there have been any direct quotes Doc, I think it's always been "a source close to" or similar.
I may be wrong.
I think it's the press speculating who will take over from Slur Alex.

He'd be mad to come to either us or Utd IMO. But if he picked either it'd be Utd. Unfortunately.

Though I get the gist of it I'm really bothered with these 'he'd be mad to come here comments ' and it pretty much underlines the way I fell about Mourinho really.

Liverpool FC are one of the biggest clubs in the world. Any manager in the world (bar maybe Ferguson) should be very interested in the job.

If someone like Mourinho would turn us down only beacuse he's affraid of looking less good then he was never meant to come here in the first place.

It would be the act of a coward if you ask me and I wouldn't be to surprised if that was exactly what Mourinho would opt to do. I rate him as a manager but I'm not fond of him as a person at all.

If Jose ever manages for us I'll personally e-mail Themn nude pics of my ex.

Is that a reward or a punishment?

I'm sure he'd gladly manage any of the top English clubs. We're the most likely, simply because of the timing. I don't think Ferguson has any plans to retire at the end of the season. City is very unlikely given that Mancini won't even have had a full season there - they'll give him two transfer windows (and shitloads of money) at the least. Arsenal will remain loyal to Wenger (and vice versa). Chelsea is the dark horse scenario - obviously José has history (not all of it very pleasant) with Abramovich, but if Ancelotti fails to win the PL or CL, I can easily see the Russian losing patience and going back to a tried and tested formula.

However, if our shit owners do find the balls - and the cash - to sack Rafa at the end of the season (despite the almost inevitable good finish), then there's a good chance Mourinho will be our next manager.

Ifyou really wanna know, make Jose sign for us.

Mancini has been given an initial 6 month contract, with another 3 years to be added if he hits the targets that he's been given. I'd suggest that unless he gets City into the top 4 this season, then he won't get the contract extension and Jose will replace him.

Direct quotes in this article from the Guardian (albeit siphoned from the NOTW):

"If you want me to rule out ever being Manchester United manager I can't," he told the News of the World. "Special clubs need special managers so in theory it could work, but nobody knows what the future is in football.

"The England national team wanted me as coach and that is the biggest job in England, so I am sure when Sir Alex retires they will look at the best managers in the world and I certainly fall into the category."

Well, it wouldn't exactly be the first time the media had put words into a big name's mouth, and the words themselves aren't 100% conclusive either. Additionally, as others have said, there are powerful reasons why that might not be a good move for him (or for anybody - following Ginsoak could easily be a poisoned chalice). I'm not saying he defo won't go there, but like Vlad I reckon we're at least as likely a destination for him as that lot if the LFC job falls vacant.

So you want Jose to be manager but having no interest in seeing nude picures of some random female.
Right?
