He's the 2nd best Irish player of all time (After Zinedine Kilbane of course) so most of the Irish members like him anyways.

I don't know personally but I don't think that Givens was that great. He is probably best remembered for his hattrick against Russia and four against Turkey but apart from that was he that good.
I think Paul McGrath deserves to be ahead of him as does Robbie Keane off course. 😉
